Happy June!

.....June.

How in heaven's name is it already June?

School is coming to a close. The weather is warm, and shorts are the official uniform. Parties are being planned, pools are being splashed in. There are piles of books waiting to be read, and stories begging to be written. I just love it.

But how did it get here so quickly?

I feel like I blinked, and it went from forty degrees to eighty. From bare, dead trees to trees bursting with life. From piles and piles of schoolwork to grades being turned in and classes ending. It's honestly kind of bizarre. I know that the older you get, the more quickly that time seems to pass. Well, that's definitely the truth. Everything is absolutely flying by! I'm hoping that this summer doesn't fly by as well, because I really want to be able to enjoy it.

May was a strange month. Busy, but quieter. It was odd not to have days filled with rehearsals. I had two final exams, and I'm pretty sure that I did well on those. I'm almost done with school- all that's left is geometry and history. I cannot wait to finish those up and be able to fully enjoy summer!

Graduation was a few days ago, and I watched 10-12 people that I care about throw their caps in the air. That was definitely a bizarre feeling. I spent most of the day helping to set up for the reception, so I didn't have too much time to dwell on it (making over 600 kabobs is a bit of a distraction), but the reality of it is strange to think about. Going back to school without them is hard to wrap my mind around, but I'm convincing myself that it's going to be perfectly fine.

Some other highlights of May were senior recitals, a cast party, bunches of Starbucks runs, late night trips to go get custard (which is basically like ice cream and is incredible) while wearing a fancy dress and heels, getting my novel completely outlined, and bunches of other things that I can't remember right off. Aside from graduation, I have like, zero photos from May. Not exactly sure why. My mom and I were just discussing whether or not May actually existed. xD

June is going to hopefully be a quiet month. I don't have any major plans so far, but the plans that I do have are fun, so I'm currently looking forward to June. A couple of graduation parties, and I'm going to get to hang out with a good friend who I haven't had a chance to spend time with in ages. Aside from that, I'm hoping to just get to spend more time with some friends, and to finally get my life in order. I feel like I say that every single month, but since I'm almost finished with school, maybe I'll finally get to. My novel has been calling me- I need to get back to work on it!

Having this amount of free time is really exciting. I'm hoping to have lots of more time to blog! Not blogging as much over the past few months has been kind of annoying. Blogging almost became a chore for a while, but now I'm craving it. Hopefully I'll have lots of new posts for you all!!

I didn't set many resolutions for May, nor did I keep up with them very well. So, here, let me show you all my shame.

// Post 9 times - Nope. Try 7. Yay me.

// Reach 50 followers  Complete!! Thank you all so much!!! <3 *sends hugs to everyone*

// Read 3 new books for fun - Well, I requested three books from the library! I only actually got around to reading one, though. Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass. I'm a huge Wendy Mass fan, but this book wasn't my absolute favorite of hers. It wasn't bad, just not my favorite.

// Drink more water  I think that I did! I noticed that I definitely feel much better when I drink more water, too.

// Get back into journaling - I really didn't. Hoping to do more of that this month.

// Come up with some creative graduation gifts for friends  I have a post coming about this soon! I was really pleased with my graduation gifts. : )

// Post about prom!  You can see that post here

  2. MAY IS OVER MAY IS OVER MAY IS OVER IM SO HAPPY ITS OVER.

I really love the month of June. Where I live it's the perfect weather during this month since it's not going to vaporize you and you don't need to wear a jacket. Plus, school ends soon and I can't tell you how grateful I am for that (even though I'm pretty annoyed by my school district because last year we got out on the 12th and came back to school September 3. This year we're out on the 17th and coming back August 31. Yeah, NO. THEY CAN'T DO THAT. THAT'S OVER A WEEK SHAVED OFF OUR VACATION AND AGH. Deep breath in).

Back to my point, this month is probably my favorite and *whispers* it's also my birthday month.

I want to post about 9 posts on my blog too…I was going to do that this month…May killed me…anyway looking back how in the heck did I manage to post 12 fics in January? Was I on crack and somehow not aware of it? Maybe when summer starts I'll be able to get more than 12 a month.

    Happy June!

What the heck?? Why did they shave off so much of vacation? That's stupid! Ugh. Schools. Yay for perfect weather, though! It's actually been surprisingly hot here, it was like, 95 degrees yesterday.

To be honest I was wondering how on earth you did that myself. xD Super in awe of your writing skills.

  5. May really was nonexistent. I have like zero pictures as well :((

I've also tried to get back to journaling lately and I really love it! It's kind of a way for me to get all those stressful thoughts out so I don't explode.
It's only the second day of june and I'm already looking for things to do!! But I do have more time to write my novel and lots of books to read, so that will be fun!

Good luck on re-doing your room! I just painted mine and need to get some wall-decor up.

Anywayyyyy happy June! And congrats on the 50 followers!

    1. I can't figure out what the heck happened. At this point I'm just assuming that school ate me.

It's the besttttt. I'm just usually so tired at night that I never write and then I get frustrated at myself for falling asleep XD

You and your waffle pride paint ;)

      THANK YOU!!!

  7. Okay, PAUSE EVERYTHING. You can go out and "get" custard??? THIS IS A THING AND I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT?!?!?! We make custard at home, on the stove... are there custard stores? Like ice cream stores? Do you eat it with a spoon? Please assist immediately.

Also, I have a question for you! You said that one of your May goals was to get to 50 followers... I'm curious, how did you accomplish that in a month? Share with me your wisdom. ;)

ACTUALLY I LIED I have two questions!! I'm going to be quite busy this summer, so I'm looking for a few people to guest-post down at the cwtch! If you'd be interested, I'd love for you to send me an email so we can chat more! ♥

    1. YEAH IT'S LIKE AN ICE CREAM PLACE!!!! There are two near where I live and you can get it and it tastes like ice cream and you eat it with a spoon. I always get it with chunks of cookie dough and it's the best thing ever.

I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA MY MIND IS BLOWN XD

      ;)

  8. HAHA YEAH MAY WENT FLYING BY THE WHOLE FIRST HALF OF THIS YEAR WENT FLYING BY.
argh. You are so right though, the older I get, the faster time flies, and honestly it's so strange to keep up with it. Some of the very closest people in my life are gone right now this summer, and idk, it's really weird sometimes. But i'm somehow making it with the help of God. Not sure how...but somehow. ^_^ ALSO I'M GETTING LIKE A NEW CAMERA NEXT WEEK SO AFKJSDFKSJ currently freaking out about that. =)
I'm not sure what June will hold yet. I'm hopefully going to do a photoshoot with one of my friends, and other than that, it's looking to be a quiet month, but who knows what will happen? Looks like your goals for June are awesome, and hopefully you can accomplish them all <3

  9. EEK SO MUCH BUSY. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT.

Ooh, journaling. That's DEFINITELY something I want to get more into. though, probably not hand journaling. I did that for a little while several years ago, but I write SO SLOWLY that it was taking an insane amount of time. So now I just got everything into a OneNote file which works nicely. And then I can find and search or go through the dates easily. :P

    *happy flailing*

  10. Neat post! Wendy Mass is great, but I agree, some of her books are definitely better than others. Nice job on all your goals, and June looks exciting!
