Walmart Spring Beauty Box!

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Hello lovelies! This is kind of a belated post, but I received the Spring Beauty Box in the middle of a ton of craziness, both school and theatre-wise, so I never got around to sharing this with you. But, I buckled down and finally got it all photographed and ready to share!

So, if you aren't familiar with the Walmart Beauty Box program, basically you sign up online and, for five dollars each season, you are sent a box filled with beauty supplies/samples. This was the first box I've received, and I've got to say, I have mixed feelings.

(I have no idea why the box is creased. I can't even remember if that was my fault or it came that way haha! )

So this is what it looked like when I opened it...Thrilling, I know.

Inside there was a variety of products...

This is the Dove Go Fresh body wash. I'm not a huge body wash fan, but this one smells really good:)

This was the only thing in the box that I was super excited about, the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. I love makeup wipes, and while I haven't had a chance to try these yet (I'm only halfway through my current package of makeup wipes) I always love to have some extras on hand.

I got this tester of the Lady Gaga Fame perfume, which wasn't my favorite. I don't really wear perfume all that much, but it does smell nice.

These are Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair & Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. I haven't tried these yet either, but they look pretty nice.

This is a one-time sample of the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless foundation. I've been meaning to try this but I honestly forgot about it! I need to get some more foundation soon though, I'm almost out, so if I like this one I may have to pick up a bottle!

This is another sample of Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion. I haven't tried this either, but it looks like a pretty nice size, and I'm excited to use it.

And last, they included a bunch of coupons.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not going to lie, I was kind of disappointed by this box. The only thing that I was REALLY excited about was the makeup wipes. Everything else....I mean, let's face it. The coupons and the packet samples, you can get in a magazine. And the shampoo/conditioner/body wash, they were nice, but you get stuff like that when you stay in a hotel. It just wasn't anything special. I would have liked a bit more makeup.
Also, I kind of felt ripped off because when I was looking online after receiving my box, several people received stuff that was quite a bit nicer. Some boxes actually included a full-sized mascara. Seriously?? Agh. I'm wondering if that's totally random, or maybe it had something to do with when you ordered your box/the age you enter? I mean, I'm on the younger side of the spectrum, so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. I also saw a blackhead-clearing scrub and a few other creams floating around.
Final Conclusion- It was alright, but just not that great. For only five dollars, it's not too bad though. I'm going to stick around for at least one more box, but if it's not at least a little better, I'll probably take myself off of the list.
Did any of you get the Spring Beauty Box? What did you think? What was inside of yours?
