The Girl

"For I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of God in the land of the living."

Psalm 27:13

Hi! I’m Grace Anne, the girl behind Totally Graced.

My life has been one long love affair with stories. From reading past my bedtime to ink-stained fingers to months spent bringing characters to life underneath the stage lights, there has never been a time when I wasn't obsessed with words, and with learning how to weave them together to create something special.

I’ve been a part of the blogging world for nine years now, and am endlessly grateful for the incredible humans and experiences that this space has brought into my life. Three years ago, in 2019, I expanded Totally Graced to include the Tuesday Letters, and have spent my Tuesday mornings wishing you clear skies ever since.

I'm a firm believer that life is better when it's filled with celebration, and that connection is the thing that keeps us all afloat. In a world that feels messier by the moment, I believe we have to hold on to hope like a lifeboat and fight for light, day after day.

I’m a December '21 grad, and when I’m not working as the Digital Media Specialist for my local indie bookstore or exploring an exciting freelance project, you can find me choreographing musicals, diving into a good book, or running away to the ocean.

BONUS ROUND!

  • I'm a 6w5 on the enneagram, which means I'm extremely loyal, more prepared than a Boy Scout, and love a good true crime podcast.

  • My favorite book of all time is Jane Eyre, and I've watched You've Got Mail more times than I can count.

  • There are very few musicals that I can't quote.

  • I absolutely love snail mail, and if you're in my life for any period of time, I can guarantee that you'll end up with a note from me in your mailbox sooner rather than later.

  • The North Carolina coast is my happy place, and I'm convinced that there's very little in life better than finding the perfect seashell.

  20. Hi there Grace Anne, my name is Vivian Maxwell. I'm a juinor in highschool, I also write, love reading, act (not dance but similar-ish), and can so totally relate to having theater lyrics running through my head. Currently my drama group is doing a production of The Sound Of Music--I play Leisl! (so I hear "...I am sixteen going on seventeen..." in my head pretty much 24/7 lol) Anyway, your blog is a cute one, and I'm looking forward to reading more posts! ;)

  23. Love your blog!! And I loved what you said here, “ I believe that we were created in the image of a creative God, and that because of this, we can't help but be creative ourselves. It spills out of us, whether we realize it or not. I believe that one of the most beautiful things that we can do in life is to glorify God through the excellence of our art, and in doing so, the world gains a little more magic.” <333

Excited to read what you post next! You have a beautiful blog 😍
