Thankfulness Thursday

Thursday, November 10, 2016

~ I know that right now, everyone is kind of freaking out a bit. The internet has blown up, thanks to the election. I'm not going to get political, because frankly I know that we're all sick of hearing about it. So all I'm going to say is this- guys, in the grand scheme of things, is this worth completely losing it over? God's got us, no matter who the president is. So the next time that you're tempted to tweet a political rant, I dare you- tweet something positive instead. Because right now, do we really need more rants, more anger? No. We need positivity and light. Be positive. Be light. Spread joy. We're approaching Thanksgiving- let's think about everything that we have to be thankful for, instead of stirring up conflict, okay? Sounds good to me. ~

• there is always something to be thankful for •

  7. I love how you said "God's got us!", because I've been saying this exact line over the past few days. Like you, I also wrote on my blog about it. God's got this world in the palm of His hands!
Also, I am obsessed with your name! I believe that Grace is one of the most beautiful words in our language. Its also my car's name!

  8. I love these! Though I do feel some reassurance from above right now, I am still concerned about the results of the election and trying not to lose it... okay, going to stay positive, like you said. Positivity. Smiles. Rainbows. Unicorns. Cupcakes.

  14. I loved this post! The little things are what we should be most thankful for. I'm thankful for endless chats with friends, watching "trashy TV" in pyjamas and big mugs of strong tea <3

I was soooo fired up about this yesterday because a lot of people (especially Christians??) where posting online with so much anger and sadness and I was like "GUYS LET'S TALK ABOUT SOMETHING GOOD AND BEAUTIFUL OKAY????? REGARDLESS OF OUR VIEWS ON POLITICS THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT SO LET'S BE HAPPY." LIKE IT HAS JUST BEEN REALLY ON MY MIND. THIS EXACT THING. EVERYTHING YOU SAID. WE ARE TWINS. YOU ARE AWESOME.

"So the next time that you're tempted to tweet a political rant, I dare you- tweet something positive instead." <<*SCREAMS LOUDLY* THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU

  16. Can I just say how much I love that introverting made the list? There's something about introverting in the fall, too....with a cozy sweater, some lovely blogs to read, and a cup of coffee...what could be better? :D I also really resonated with these lines: "We need positivity and light. Be positive. Be light. Spread joy." That's what I want to do, too! :) My post-election news feed has been absolutely swamped with hurt and hate and pointing fingers. But you're right, it's our jobs to be the light in this dark world.

I've missed reading your posts! Hope you're having a stellar Tuesday! :)

    2. Introverting is just the absolute best in the fall. Like, naturally I love my introvert days year round, but it's just so cozy and comforting in the fall, looking out the window at the leaves...gah, I love it so much. ♥ I'm so glad that you could resonate with that, Erin! It's just soooooo important now with all of the hate that everyone is spreading, wow. We need a whole lot of light right now.

I DON'T KNOW I QUESTION THIS EVERY DAY
