Summer Photo Challenge!!!

~Photos~

Photos are truly a beautiful thing. You can capture a moment, a memory, and have it forever. Lately, I've been wanting to get better at photography. And I was thinking that summer is the perfect time to do that. I have so much more free time, without all of the stress of school. So, I decided that this summer, I'm going to do a photo challenge- take a picture every single day. It can be of anything- something that is special about the day, or just something that I like. But I'm going to take a picture every day, and every Monday, I'm going to share the previous week's photos with you all. I figured that I needed a way too keep myself accountable, and blogging about my photo challenge is the perfect way to do it. So, I'll start taking pictures this week, and next Monday, I'll start posting!

I challenge YOU to take the Summer Photo Challenge as well! If you do, leave a link for me below!

DWTS Finale & Finale Results!!!

Monday, May 25, 2015

Hey everybody! So, I'm actually combining the Finale and the Finale Results into one post, because-
  • A: The finale was only an hour long, so my post on it is fairly short (WHY WAS IT ONLY AN HOUR?? WHY??)
and

  •  B: I was actually on vacation for the week (I'll post about that soon!!) and didn't have time to put this together, so I figured I'd put it all into one post instead of spamming you all with two back to back!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now, without further ado.... IT'S FINALE NIGHT!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe that this is the finale! I'm quite nervous to see how it all plays out..
First up, Noah and Sharna!
They decided to recreate their Argentine tango for finale. No offense, but I didn't think that it was wonderful. Personally, I thought it was better the first time around. I agreed with Carrie Ann, she was the most honest with him about it not being great. I loved Len's comment when everyone booed him- "Don't moan if you don't phone."XD 32/40.
Riker and Allison-
I'm so happy that they did their pirate Paso! I LOVE that dance. :):) It seriously gives me chills every time I watch it. Oh my gosh, when they finished dancing, Len stood and clapped......and clapped....and clapped...and clapped. He stood forever. Oh my gosh, I absolutely DIED when Len said, "Riker, that was EPIC". I'm laughing so hard. (For those of you who don't actually watch the show, imagine that in an old British accent. It was beautiful.) All of the judges gave him raving remarks. 40/40!!!!!
Rumer and Val-
Rumer and Val decided to repeat their week one foxtrot, which they originally scored a 32/40 on. It really was great to see just how much Rumer has improved throughout the season. Her stage presence is INCREDIBLE now. She danced beautifully. The judges adored it, and you could see in the audience just how proud her dad was of her. 40/40.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ITS TIME FOR FREESTYLES!!!

I love freestyles so much. I'm so excited!! Not that you can tell or anything. Because I'm calm, cool, and collected as always. Right.

Noah and Sharna-

 Sharna really wanted to bring a lot of vulnerability to Noah's freestyle. I really liked the floor portion of the dance. The lift towards the end was also really cool. Overall though, it wasn't my favorite. It was beautiful, but nothing to write home about. The judges all loved it though, and went on about how beautiful and inspirational it was. It must have translated better in real life than it did on TV. 40/40. (I would have scored nines, but oh well.)

Riker and Allison-

Riker and Allison trained super hard for their freestyle. I've been really excited to see it! They always do so well. Let me just say, WHOA. They did not disappoint. I liked all of the different styles that Allison incorporated. It was great! A really fun number. I wish they could have spent more time with the judges, but they were short on time. :/ 40/40!

Rumer and Val-

Rumer and Val decided to go with something very dressed down, because it fit their personalities better. I thought it was so cool that they created their own music! They did a cover of Toxic, with Rumer singing and Val playing violin. Their dance was really cool, but it didn't feel like a freestyle to me. It was a bit too classical. I really enjoyed it though, it was very well executed. The judges liked it, saying it was raw and beautiful. 40/40.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now, The Results!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I can't believe that it's finally the finale!! This is so crazy.. I'll just warn you, I won't have as many pictures of this night, because they're just harder to find online. Hopefully my emotional frenzy will make up for my lack of pictures.

I loved the opening number! Nastia's lifts were so cool. I miss her..WHY, AMERICA? WHY DID YOU ELIMINATE HER?

 YES! I was really happy that Riker got the encore dance. Hopefully he'll win! I loved Riker and Allison's little dance outside. That was fun. :)

 RedFoo performed Juicy Wiggle next. That was both bizarre and hilarious. I cant decide which. I've got to say, I wish he hasn't been eliminated first. He would have been interesting to see in the different ballroom styles. I can't quite picture him in some of the more classical dances..

 Charlotte did part of her California Girls routine next. I can't get over those crab background dancers..

I loved seeing Sadie and Alfonso dance together! They're two of my favorites. :) Sadie is seriously so cute. *gasp* I can't believe that Alfonso is taking over AFV!! That's so great!

Suzanne did great with her Copa Cabana routine. She cracks me up, she's great...

 Hahaha, Robert's cha cha was so funny. I miss seeing him..I really want him and Kym to be together! I know that some photos were released of him and Kym kissing in Palm Springs, so maybe there's hope?!

The dance with Noah and Amy Purdy was pretty. I'd like to see a full-length dance with the two of them, that would be really cool.

Seeing Chris and Witney's Footloose dance again was funny. It was better than the first time around, that's for sure. I have to admit, he's definitely improved this season.

 I'm so glad that Nastia did her Charleston again! I absolutely adore that routine. It's sooooo good!! Agh. WHY DID THEY GO HOMEEEE???? Not bitter. Totally not bitter.

HAHAHAHAHA, I loved the trailer for "Dance Hard". XD I want to see that movie!!! Can someone please make that a thing?

Yay, Willow did her wonderland dance! I love that one:) Mark is seriously such a creative genius.

Hahahaha, the bloopers...I love it. What I would give to see their rehearsals...like seriously, just to sit through a dress rehearsal, that would be SO. MUCH. FUN.

Oh my gosh. Derek and Julianne are going to dance togeteher. I'm fangirling so hard. That dance was really cool!! The Houghs are so incredible. And those kids were great! They could totally hold their own with Derek and Julianne, which is insane. I cannot express my love for that number enough.

Haha, it was so fun to see Patti again. I just adore watching her. Gotta love the Patti shuffle!! XD She highlighted her hair, it looked good!

Now, it's time for the 24 hour fusion round!

Noah and Sharna were up first with a cha cha/Argentine tango fusion. They did a really good job, especially considering that they only learned it within 24 hours. The couple scored 26/40, which I thought was fair. He scored a total combined score of 108/120 for both nights.

Riker and Allison were next with a salsa/quickstep fusion. That was good! I really liked how Allison choreographed that number. Haha, Len called him "the boy who brings joy." 40/40. That makes a perfect score of 120/120!

Last up, Rumer and Val close the fusion round with a foxtrot/paso doble fusion. That was really pretty. :) (Can I just say that I really like her lip color! Is that from her makeup line?) Len said that she was as good as anyone else who'd ever been on the show. Wow. That's a very high compliment from Len. 40/40.

Oh my gosh, when Len said "This is definitely the last ten" I nearly bawled. WHY ISN'T HE COMING BACK? I'M GONNA GO CRY, OKAY? OKAY. I'M DONE.

Patti sang "Two Steps Away" as some footage played of the final three couples. You could see everyone starting to get emotional. It's going to be interesting to see who is the first to be eliminated.

Time for results.. The couple in third place is....Noah and Sharna. That's what I expected, to be honest. It's going to be tough between Riker and Rumer.

I really want Riker to win, but I kind of think that Rumer will be the one to win. Agh, I'm so nervous!

And the winner is....

Rumer and Val!

*sigh* That's disappointing.  I was really hoping that Riker would win. :/ Oh well. Rumer did well throughout the season.

So, what did you think of the finale? Should Rumer and Val have won? What did you think of the dances throughout the night? And what is your opinion on Len's departure?

Dancing With The Stars- Week Nine Results!!!

Sunday, May 17, 2015

Hey everyone!! Gosh, I'm so nervous for this week! I love all four of the couples, and I don't want ay of them to come home. Personally, I have my fingers crossed that it will be Noah going home, but we'll have to wait and see!

Haha, it was so funny watching everyone's reactions to Noah's proposal!! All of the DWTS girls flipped out, it was hilarious. I probably would have been the same way..

Straight into results!

Noah and Sharna- Noah obviously had a great night, considering he proposed to his now-fiancee on national television! And Noah is...in jeopardy.

Next, there was a piece sponsored by Almay, an all-American theme. That dance was awesome!!! So much fun. Gosh, I wish I was a troupe member...

Riker and Allison- Riker had an amazing night last night with a perfect score. He did phenomenal. And he is....DANCING IN THE FINALS!!!!!

Emma and Sasha were challenged to take us through a hundred years of dance in two minutes. 2015's dancing was quite depressing. I don't want that to be my generation!

Nastia and Derek- Their night was absolutely beautiful. I can't remember the last time I was so touched by a dance. And they are.....in jeopardy. WHAT??? THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN THE WORLD. IF NASTIA GOES HOME I. WILL. DIE.

I saw on Instagram earlier that there is only 1.15% of a difference between the bottom two couples. If Nastia goes home, there is no justice in this world.

Next up, the women of dancing with the stars! The special effects in this dance were really cool. The technology on this show is really great. I love all the girls in this dance, the DWTS girls are great.

Flo-Rida performed, with the girls dancing. He's not my favorite artist, but gosh that song gets stuck in my head!

Rumer and Val- Rumer had a great night as well, although she placed third overall. They are....in jeopardy. WAIT, WHAT??? There are already two people in jeopardy! I'm so confused..

Hahaha, I love all of the practice videos...

Oh my gosh, Derek stroking the floor...that was great.

I love how all of this video is saved. It would be so cool to watch it.

Performing runs in Riker's family, and his brother Ross was there performing Gotta Be Me from his new movie, Teen Beach Two. Ross is seriously a great dancer. That is one talented family, between Ross, Riker, their siblings, and then Derek and Julianne being their cousins. Such a great family!

I'm so nervous for these results...as long as Nastia is safe, I honestly don't care. I love her. Last night sealed the deal for me. Her dance was so great, I adore her.

Noah and Sharna....are safe. NO! NO NO NO NO NO! THIS IS HORRIBLE NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO. NO. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Being eliminated....NOOOOO. Nastia and Derek were eliminated! No!!!!! :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

This makes me SO mad. She should NOT be safe over Noah. She can dance so well! UGH. I am BEYOND ticked off right now. Her last three dances have absolutely been INCREDIBLE. She should not have gone home. She should have been in the top two or won. UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH.

Dancing With The Stars- Week Nine!!

Monday, May 11, 2015

IT'S SEMIFINALS!!!

Agh, that's so crazy! There are only four people left! That's so weird..

I loved the opening choreography! Mandy Moore is the best. :)

I found it very interesting that every couple has been in first place at one point. That's never happened before!

Now, for the first round of competition!

Rumer and Val- In Rumer's package, her family talked about her as a child and growing up. Growing up as a child of such famous parents, she didn't have the easiest childhood. She was always moving around, never out of the public eye. People were very harsh about her, always saying that she was ugly, which was super hard on her. Being on Dancing With The Stars has really helped her to grow, though, and her family says that her confidence has just blossomed since being on the show. I agreed with Len, it was a good dance but it didn't quite feel like a Viennese waltz. It was a bit too intense in my opinion. It was still a really good dance. Haha, I loved Len's comment- "You wanna boo me? Go for it!" He's so sassy! XD Aww, it was so sweet, her mom was backstage waiting for her. Love it. 38/40.

Noah and Sharna- In Noah's package, his family talked about his childhood. He was a typical boy, always getting into trouble. He didn't know what he wanted to do with his life until the 9/11 attacks, when he chose to join the military. Even though he lost his arm and his leg, his family was just so thankful to have him alive. He struggled for some time with depression and alcohol addiction, until he pulled himself together. It's crazy all that he's been able to do on this show, and he's inspired a lot of people. He also did a Viennese waltz, and I thought it was really pretty. He was a lot smoother than he has been in the past, which was good. 36/40.

OH MY GOSH!! NOAH PROPOSED TO HIS GIRLFRIEND ON DANCING WITH THE STARS!!! AGH!!! That was seriously so sweet.

Haha, Tom- "If you're just tuning in, I'm not going to tell you what you missed, but it was pretty cool."

Riker and Allison- Riker grew up in Colorado, and then moved to LA when he was 16. He had a big passion for performing ever since a young age, and he got his first gig as Jeff on Glee. His family's super tight-knit, and they're all super proud of him. :) He danced a contemporary piece that was absolutely INCREDIBLE. He's such an amazing dancer!! To quote Bruno "It was hardcore uncompromising contemporary. Even for a professional that was hard to attempt." Carrie Ann was having a bit of a fangirl attack. Len said that it was a great performance. Julianne said that she couldn't tell who was the pro! She was absolutely blown away. Haha, I find it hilarious that Riker was so scared to do this dance, he was fabulous. His scores said likewise. 40/40.

Nastia and Sasha- I love that Nastia was named after Anastasia. I've always loved Anastasia! Ever since Nastia was little, she has wanted to be an Olympic gymnast. Her dad said that "inside that little body was a tiger." When she won, that was such an incredible moment for her and her dad. Then, in 2012, she was on the uneven bars and faceplanted, ending her career. She had never danced before this show, but she has done such an incredible job. She's such a driven person, and it shows in her performance on this show. Her quickstep was fabulous, it made me want to get up and dance with her! Carrie Ann said that it was a show stopper, and it really was. Len said it was a terrific dance. Julianne said that Nastia was now a dancer, and she had a great connection with Sasha, and Bruno called her a star. Tom commented on Nastia's radiant smile, and how anyone who saw that could never think she was moody. I thought that was really sweet, I love Tom. :) 40/40.

Now, on to the second round- the Judge's Choice round! Haha, Tom joked that he'd never seen the four judges so nervous!

But first, the group doing Dancing With The Stars on Tour performed a number. Gosh, I wish I could go see that! It would be so incredible...

Rumer and Val- with Bruno! Bruno wanted to do a contemporary fusion "whatever that means," to quote Val. As someone who has done ballet in the past, Swan Lake is really hard. Hahaha, Bruno- "If you don't get everyone in tears, I'm going to kill you." Despite how freaked out they both were, that dance was REALLY cool!!! Bruno's concept was really brilliant, and they executed it perfectly. 30/30.

Noah and Sharna- with Carrie Ann! Carrie Ann chose a paso doble for Noah and Sharna. She wanted to show his journey from weakness to strength. Carrie Ann said that it was a true metaphor from his life. Sharna was really thrilled with Carrie Ann's vision, and said it couldn't have been better. Carrie Anne was so sweet- "I hope I've done them justice." Wow! Carrie Ann, you most certainly did! Usually I'm not a huge paso fan, but that dance was really cool! The choreography was great, and the whole thing was super intense. I adored it. 30/30. (I just have to say, I don't think he should have gotten a perfect thirty. The dance was great, but it wasn't perfect. He had a few mistakes. I know that he's super inspirational, but I think that they need to be a little harder on him.)

Riker and Allison- with Julianne! She wanted to see them do an Argentine Tango, to control their energy a bit more. They also wanted Julianne to be in the dance, which was cool. Allison was really kind of nervous for this week, because she wanted to live up to Julianne's expectations. Their dance was great!! Argentine Tango is such a cool dance, and Riker handled it wonderfully. Carrie Ann said that they "nailed every step with passion." 30/30.

Nastia and DEREK- with Len! It was really sad, hearing Len talk about how he can't dance anymore. As a performer myself, I know that would be insanely hard. Len's so sweet, I just adore him. They decided to dedicate the dance to Len's younger years as a dancer. They also decided to let Len dance at the end of the number. AGH. That's just so sweet. Derek's known Len since he was twleve so this meant a lot for him too. OH MY GOSH. BEST. DANCE. OF. THE. NIGHT. I kid you not, within ten seconds of the dance beginning, I was on the verge of tears. And I NEVER cry. That was insane. As soon as he opened the scrapbook, I lost it. It was such a beautiful tribute, and when Len danced at the end, I couldn't even handle it. It was absolutely spectacular. After the dance ended, everyone in my living room just screamed. I agree with Julianne- "That was the most special dance I've ever seen." I have been watching this show for ten years. And that is honestly the most memorable dance I have ever seen. Erin said she felt bad for ever calling Len grumpy. Len said they "captured exactly what dance was about." 30/30. I would have given them a 40/30 if possible. My love for this dance is endless. If you don't watch anything else, WATCH THIS DANCE. Perfection. That's all I can say. I have never been more touched by a dance.

The perfect ending to the night.

Dancing With The Stars Week 8- Results!!

Sunday, May 10, 2015

Hey everyone! Well, the results shows are back, and I'm here to share them! I actually live-blogged this, but then I had to edit, thus why this post is so late. -_- I'll warn you, I've tried to make this understandable, but if you don't watch the show you may be a little confused. I'm sorry! Also, I really couldn't find many pictures online, so that's why there aren't many in this post. :/

Anyways, I'm so glad that the results shows are back!! I love them so much. :) it's two consecutive days of DWTS!!! Even though elimination is depressing...

The encore dance that the judges chose was Rumer Val and Artem's paso! I've got to say, I wish they'd picked Nastia's trio..

Time for Rumer's results! She was so happy last night, and she should be! Her scores were flawless. And the verdict is....SAFE!

Time for one of my favorite things... DANCE CENTER!
"We wanted 3 experts but we only got one" XD

Robert-
Relationship status: It's Kym-plicated
Waist: skinny
Wallet: fat

They did this whole segment on how Robert was trying to bribe everyone, it was hilarious!!

Chris-
Strength: Juggling multiple women
Favorite flower: Red rose

They then had a segment joking about how he had "kindergarten math skills." "He can count, just not to the beat of the music." Len quipped. They then showed a whole tape of him trying to clap to music and failing epically.

Riker-
"Harry styles is his spirit animal"
Hair: Styled like that on purpose

Riker's joke was that his hair was actually faked, and they had tons of pictures to "prove" it. ;D

Ah, my love for Dance Center is eternal...

Now for Chris and Witney's results. They are....in jeopardy

Next up, Carly Rae Jepsen performed. Gosh, she looks different! I hadn't seen her in a while. Not my favorite song, but the troupe's dance was good. Of course it was- Emma choreographed it!

More results- Noah and Sharna! Noah had some trouble during dress rehearsal, I felt bad for him. I know this show has to be a struggle. But they're safe

Now for Robert and Kym- Robert was really upset by his scores. Poor guy. AND HE WAS ELIMINATED. AGH. Excuse me while I go cry and eat ice cream. And that end killed me. "Robert I have known Kym, we've been friends from years- you may have not won a mirror ball trophy, but I think you've won someone's heart. That's not bad." "Well Tom I just don't feel that way about you." But seriously, Tom knows Kym really well. He would totally know if she had feelings for Robert. GO! GO HAVE SHARKAROO BABIES!!

Back to Dance Center!

Nastia (Nasty) Liukin-
Favorite drink: Opponents' tears

Haha, there was a whole segment about Nastia not wanting to answer questions. It was so funny! :D

Noah-
More of a man than you are
Abs: washboard
Arm: 1
Leg: 1

Noah is called an inspiration, and then several jokes are made about Sharna knocking out his tooth.

Rumer-
Roller derby champion of Idaho

Rumer had said that people teased her, calling her "Mr. Potato Head", and so of course Dance Center pulls out a Mr. Potato Head doll. The best part, though, was when Len was dressed up as Mr. Potato Head!

Next up a company called Shaping Sounds performed. It was insane! They did their entire dance around walls, and the athleticism was just incredible.

Now, more results-

Nastia and Derek- Nastia looked like she was about to cry when they played that package. Poor girl.. Nastia, people don't think you're like that. AND YOU'RE SAFE!

Riker and Allison- They had such a great night last night! But oh no...they're in jeopardy. His face broke my heart..

Next, Josh Groban sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and Maddie Ziegler danced. Oh my goodness, that girl is incredible. What I wouldn't give to be able to dance like that...

And now, for the final results...

Going home...Chris and Witney! Phew! I was so worried. I've grown to like him a bit more, but Riker is one of my favorites. Riker looked so sad when he thought that he might be eliminated, it killed me. I'm so glad he's safe...I felt bad for Chris though, he was crying.

Well, what did you think of this episode? Do you agree with the results?

Dancing With The Stars- Week Eight!

Saturday, May 9, 2015

Again, this was late. Sorry. But hey, once I post the elimination results, I'll be caught up! ....and then have to do it all over again. I'm trying, I swear!

Now, on to the dancing!
 (None of these pics are mine btw I found them all online)

Noah and Sharna- Hmm. That was good, but I didn't love it. It didn't really FEEL like a tango to me. I know that it's a hard dance for him but it just wasn't my favorite. I agreed with Carrie Ann's comment about it feeling blocky. 31/40

Happy Birthday to Erin, by the way! Love her so much:) She's definitely my favorite female host on this show of all time.
Chris and Witney- Oh my goodness. That is the first dance from Chris that I have actually LIKED. It was beautiful. And can I just say, Witney can flat DANCE. The choreography was amazing. Chris is finally developing a bit of grace, it's really great. :) He scored 34/40.

Riker and Allison- Oh my gosh, I died in the package with the penguins and the cactus...Those two are so funny. Riker had a lot of trouble with the emotion of this dance, which I know is always hard. He did AMAZING though. The dance was beautiful, and his vulnerability was amazing. The judges agreed-39/40

Robert and Kym- Haha, I love that all America wanted from them was for the two of them to kiss! And the best part...THEY DID!!! Yay that made me sooooo happy. The dance was pretty, too. 33/40

Nastia and Derek- Gotta say, I'm SO jealous of that girl who got to FaceTime with Nastia and Derek! I'd die. I would fangirl so hard. Wow!! That was super cool. I loved the gladiator theme of the dance. It was super intense! Hahaha, I loved Len getting sassy when everyone booed him. "Talk to the hand!" He had some great retorts tonight. 36/40

Rumer and Val- I felt so bad for Val in the package. He was being so sweet:) not going to lie I think they're kind of cute together. The dance wasn't my absolute favorite, but technically it was really good. :) Rumer's great at technical dancing. 40/40

I'm so happy that Dance Center is back!! Gah I love it:) Can't wait!

Now, time for trios!

First up, Sharna, Noah, and Emma! I felt like their dance was difficult, but it just wasn't my favorite. XD and oh my gosh, when Bruno fell out of his chair- I. Died. That was hilarious!! Pulling a Carrie Ann, are we now Bruno? 32/40

Next up, Chris, Witney, and Lindsey! I didn't love this dance either. Parts of it were really cool, but I felt like other parts were awkward. The judges didn't seem to like it either. I agree with Len- "Okay but not great." 30/40

Riker, Allison, and Britney were up next! Oh my goodness, that boy can MOVE. He's really good! I love to watch him dance. He honestly cracks me up. He's so talented though, he honestly could win.  39/40- I wish he'd gotten 40!!

Robert, Kym, and Jenna- Robert was so cute in the package! I think he liked two women a bit too much;) He wasn't perfect, but I thought it was cute, and he did a good job of picking back up after he made some mistakes. 29/40

Nastia, Derek, and Sasha- Nastia had a hard week but oh my gosh, that dance was incredible. Yet again, Derek was an utter genius and it showed in the choreography. It was insane. Len said it was INCREDIBLE and he seemed in awe. Julianne said it was the best trio she'd ever seen. Bruno said it was total genius. Carrie Ann said it was beyond brilliant. I honestly have no words. It was SO good, and the choreography was phenomenal. 40/40

Rumer, Val, and Artem- I thought it was funny in the package how everyone wanted the boys to go shirtless and Val said he was being "exploited". XD her dance was technically flawless. The judges loved it- another 40/40!

Who will go home? We'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out! I'm so happy that the Tuesday night shows are back- they're so much fun! :)

Craving

Friday, May 8, 2015

Some people crave food. I crave words. Books. Stories. Tales that draw me into another world. A book that, when I open it, I'm transported somewhere else and forget where I am. Lately, that's all I crave. Stories.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to just read. Not for school, but for pleasure. And I miss it. I can't wait for a time where I don't have to worry about assigned reading, and I can just immerse myself in stories for hours and hours.

I need to write. To lie in my room and create my own worlds. Worlds that I have total control over. Anything that I want can happen. Characters become my friends. They become a little part of me, and I get to tell their story.

I need words. I scroll through Pinterest, looking at quotes. Because to me, words are beautiful. With those 26 little letters, you can express anything. Joy. Sadness. Angst. Fear. Anger. Exhilaration. It's beautiful.

I crave words.

Dancing With The Stars- 10th Anniversary Special!

Thursday, May 7, 2015

(photo creds to Glamour.com)

Oh. My. Gosh. I am SO excited for this. I've been watching this show since the very beginning, so the 10th anniversary is really special for me. :)

It was so cool to see all of old favorites! Pros and celebs alike, I was fangirling super hard. I have to say, I was really excited to see the old pros. Louis and Ana made me very happy. Mark and his dad danced! I screamed. And I screamed again when I saw Meryl and Maks. Biggest ship- EVER.

I loved Tom and Erin's entrance on the giant 10! Perfection. :)

I swear, watching all of the old winners replay was so fun. I loved so many of these pairings, it was great to watch.

I was so sad that Derek was injured. I really wanted to see him dance with Mark. It would have been SO great. Seeing them all jam to Uptown Funk was really fun though. I just wish Derek could have done it. :/ It was so funny seeing Candace mouthing the lyrics in the audience! I love her. :)

Seeing the mishaps segment was SO funny. There have been so many!! And the drama segment was just painful. I really DON'T need to see Kym's neck snap again and again and again. The tantrums were just sad. Some of them were really funny, but some were just bad. Agh.

OH. MY. GOSH. Len and Maks on the bicycle built for two made my life. They have the best love-hate relationship ever.

The inspiration segment was incredible. There have been so many incredible people on this show. They have been through so much, and their dances have been so inspirational to all of us. I love them so much.

It was so much fun to see Alfonso and Witney again. He is SUCH a great performer, and I love to watch Witney dance. She's amazing. They were such a fabulous pair! Oh my gosh, the thing about Witney's medical skills- "Need a snack?" XD

Seeing Meryl and Maks again was incredible. I didn't think I'd ever see a new dance from them, and I was so happy that I thought I would explode. They both had the sweetest smiles. :) Oh my gosh, when they showed Maks's audition video, I couldn't breathe. I was dying. So. Funny. XD Maks is the best.

It's so cool to see how the dances have evolved throughout the years. The show has just changed so much from the first season to now, it's incredible.

Next, the judges chose their favorite dances-

Len's package was so funny. Seeing Len in that bright yellow- hilarious!! He picked Helio's quickstep, which was fabulous. So technically accurate.

Carrie Ann chose Amy Purdy's contemporary. That was absolutely insane. I cried when I watched that, and I never cry. So beautiful.

Julianne chose one of Donald Driver's dances for his artistry. I remember that dance, it was sooo good.

Bruno of course looks for passion, so he chose Mel B's paso. That dance was really intense, it was great!!

The football players' dance was funny. They're always interesting to watch. Some of them have been REALLY good, and others haven't been quite as fabulous haha. Still, the dance was fun, and it was great to see Ana! I love her. :)

I always say it, but I just love Patti LaBelle. She's so funny and so classy. :) She just makes me really happy haha. I also really love Amber. She was so great on the show with Derek, and her personality is just so big and bubbly and fun. I'm not a huge Lil' Kim fan, not going to lie. The three of them sounded great together though.

Watching everyone dance at the end was so much fun. I love this show so much. Here's to another 10 years!!

Dancing With The Stars- Week Seven!!!

Wednesday, May 6, 2015

Yes, I know that this is insanely late. I've actually had it close to being written for a few days, but I've had to find pictures, polish it, etc. Ugh. I have like, three or four DWTS related posts in my drafts. Aren't I a good blogger? -_- So that's why you'll probably be spammed by DWTS posts this week. Sorry!

Anyways, enough of that! Time for week seven!

The opening number was so classy! I loved all of the yellow dresses. And that song is so great. This week, every team is dancing from a different era.

OMG!! YAY!!! The double elimination is postponed until next week! I'm so happy!! Thank you, ABC!

(Julianne's hair isn't pink anymore!! I really like her hair better when it's blonde.)

Riker and Allison- They have a 1920's baseball-themed quickstep. His goal for the week was to get a 10 from Len and I have to say, I was seriously hoping for that! He did an amazing job on that dance- the footwork was impeccable! Quickstep is a great dance for him. I didn't love his costume, but the dance itself was great. His judges comments were really good, especially from Len! And the score..... HE GOT THE TEN FROM LEN!!! YAY!! I may or may not have screamed when that happened. I though the other judges were too hard on him. 9's? Really? 37/40.

Chris and Witney- They have a 1940's foxtrot. The costumes are seriously adorable! Witney's so cute haha. I'm not a huge Chris fan, but I've got to admit, that was a cute dance. Witney did a great job on the choreography for that number. I felt like Chris was kind of flat-footed though. Len also said he needs to polish up when he's in hold, which I agreed with. 31/40.

Rumer and Val- Rumer's dad decided to visit, which was super sweet. She was so happy:) They obviously both have the same insane work ethic. Rumer hurt her neck the day before the show, which was really sad to watch. She's so tough, seeing her break was hard. It didn't show in her dance at all though! It was so fun and bubbly and cute, I loved it. The judges were a bit critical with her though, about some tiny things like arms and keeping her spot. I thought Carrie Ann giving her an 8 was kind of harsh... 35/40

Noah and Sharna- I hated how they made Sharna look last week. That was annoying, and Noah was very upset. It was great though, Amy Purdy came by to talk to Noah. Hahaha, the story of the dance was Noah leading a 1970's gang. That's just hilarious. I love Noah and Sharna, but that dance just wasn't my favorite. It was kind of weird. The arm motions were cool though, and the judges seemed to really like it. I mean, it was good, but it just wasn't my favorite. I thought Rumer's was better. 36/40.

Robert and Kym- Robert's package was so cute. He gets so happy! I love it. They seriously are really great. They're adorable together!! Agh. Wow, their dance was REALLY good. I love the Argentine tango, and I thought he executed it really well. The judges are always hard on him though. I honestly could have killed Carrie Ann when she gave him that 7. He deserved 8's or 9's. She's in a bad mood tonight. 31/40

Nastia and Sasha- I actually that Derek was injured online before we watched the show and FREAKED out. He's one of my favorite pros so I was kind of upset. What happened was, while rehearsing for the 10th anniversary special, Derek broke his toe, and then when he went to get ice for it, he severely sprained his ankle. Unfortunately, Derek couldn't dance this week. He was so funny though, he would NOT stay still. That was really funny. Now, on to the dance...OH. MY. GOSH. CAN WE JUST AGREE DEREK IS THE BIGGEST GENIUS EVER? Oh my gosh. He managed to still incorporate himself in the dance, and the choreography was even better than usual. It was INCREDIBLE. Agh. I'm fangirling so hard. Nastia really did a fabulous job too, she wasn't as much of a gymnast, she was a dancer. I would have given them a perfect score, to be honest. 38/40

Willow and Mark- They did a futuristic nin-jazz dance. The creativity on Mark's part was insane, but it just wasn't my favorite dance. Jazz isn't one of my personal favorite styles, so I just didn't love it. IT was very well executed though, and the judges liked it. 37/40.

After the individual dances, the contestants competed in a dance-off. First off, Riker and Allison competed against Willow and Mark. I liked Riker's dance a lot better, but the judges chose Willow and Mark to win.

Next, Robert and Kym danced against Noah and Sharna. I would have chosen Robert and Kym but again, the judges disagreed with me. This time however, it was a tie- but Noah won because Len is the tiebreaker. *sigh*

Last up, Rumer and Val danced against Chris and Witney. And I mean let's be honest, that's no competition. Rumer and Val were the winners!

Now time for the hard part. Elimination.

The elimination was between Rumer and Val and Willow and Mark, which was tough. In the end, Willow and Mark were eliminated. I guess the odds just weren't in Willow's favor tonight.

It was super sweet, when Willow was eliminated, she was really upset, and Tom said,  "Can I not be a TV host for a second and be a dad?" And then proceeded to comfort her. I love Tom Bergeron. He's so great. :)

I was really upset that Willow went home though. She should NOT have been eliminated before Chris!!! Ugh.

What did you think of this episode? More DWTS posts coming soon!

Happy May!!

Friday, May 1, 2015

I say this every month, but gosh, this is weird. May? Really? That's so weird.

To be honest, May kind of freaks me out. So much...ends in May. School ends. Recitals and performances are going on 24/7. And don't get me wrong, I adore summer. I count down the days until I don't have to look at another Algebra problem. Until balancing Chemistry equations is a thing of the past. Sleeping in is the norm. But..a tiny part of me is sad. Because after May, everything changes. And honestly, sometimes that change really isn't for the better. Friends change schools, and you don't get to see them anymore. Teachers that you love move on to different jobs. People graduate and go off to college, and poof- they're gone. Every year has a different feel, and the old year is now totally over. Just memories. I'm also one of those people who actually really likes high school. And frankly, I don't want to graduate. I love where I am right now, and graduating, moving on to college...I just don't like the idea. May is one year closer to that becoming a reality.

I feel like this post is kind of depressing, which wasn't the goal. I just sat down to write, and this all kind of...flowed out. I love May, because all of the events are a lot of fun. I just hate things ending. This wasn't exactly my happiest Happy ____ post, sorry. What's your opinion?
