Dancing With The Stars- Week 3!!

Monday, March 30, 2015

Hey everyone! I'm actually blogging this episode as it airs, instead of going back and writing it later. So without further ado, let's begin!

Rumer and Val were up first with a Disco-themed Salsa. Wow! That was impressive. Rumer actually made disco look cool. Maybe it was the fusion of the two styles, but it was just amazing. Rumer really performed this number, and it was so exuberant and fun. I loved it! Haha, I love how she accidentally busted Val's lip in rehearsal. XD Probably the most random DWTS injury ever! She scored a 33/40, which was really good. :)

Next up, we had Charlotte and Keo. It wasn't horrible, but I personally didn't think that it was very well done. There just wasn't much rumba content. It was like all that she did was different flexibility tricks and then walked around. I don't know if it was just Keo's choreography, or it was all that she was able to do, or what. I'm really not sure. Haha, I loved Bruno's comment. He basically said that she wasn't smart, but she was pretty. XD That made me laugh a lot. And then Len was like, "Your feet...I just don't want to talk about it anymore." Hahaha, I was laughing so hard. I'm glad that they were hard on her, hopefully she'll improve. Her scores weren't good at all, a 22/40.

Oh my gosh. In the rehearsal package, I really thought Michael was going to break Peta! The camera person literally had to catch her. Really, Michael? DON'T KILL PETA!! The dance itself wasn't bad, but Peta is so exuberant and amazing that it was hard to watch Michael. When I did watch him though, it wasn't great. He was off timing, and he was way too tight. The lifts were fun, but the transitions in and out of them weren't quite as smooth as they could be. And I know that that's hard, I've done lifts before, but it just needs work. I agreed with his scores, he got 24/40. And I've just got to say, Peta's hair- literally perfect. I loved it. I want to try it on my hair now! If I get it worked out, I'll going to have to post a tutorial on it. :)

Hahahahaha, Riker and Allison's package killed me. Riker trying to be sexy- so funny. XD And wooooow. I was ASTONISHED at that dance. It was soooo good. I knew that he was good, but that was incredible. The beginning was a little shaky, but the dance itself was great. In the middle, the footwork was so cool. Allison's choreography was on point. I just can't even put into words. Wow.  He is a definite contender. I loved the tribal theme. Obviously the judges agreed- except for Len. He gave a 7. Really, Len? The others gave 9's, for a final score of 34/40.

Suzanne and Tony danced next. Now, they weren't flawless. But let's be real. She's 68. It wasn't as good as last week's, but I really liked it. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and it's just so much fun to watch her dance. There was a lot of content, and while she occasionally did get off of the music, it was pretty good. Carrie Ann said that she wanted more depth, and Tony's reaction to that was really funny. ;) "Well, I don't know her idea of depth." He was so ticked...it was funny to watch. And yet he still keeps the toothpaste-perfect smile! ;) That was great. Tony's one of my favorite pros. 25/40.

Chris and Witney were the next couple up. (Loved Witney's hair in the rehearsal package, it was this Dutch braid into a ponytail, super cute. I'm going to have to try that!) They danced an Argentine Tango. I think that it was the best he's done so far. The lifts were really cool, and a lot cleaner than Michael and Peta's. I loved the one when he lifted her above his head, and when she jumped and spun and he caught her, it looked great. I want to try some of those lifts now! 28/40.

Next up, we saw Robert and Kym. Oh my gosh, he has a shirt that says Team Sharkaroo. That's like, the cutest team name ever. And they are so. darn. cute together! Agh. I ship it. Their Rumba was really sweet. They're a great partnership. He wasn't as fluid as he could be, he needed to be a little bit smoother. But overall, I really enjoyed it. It was just a beautiful dance. Erin said that Kym was wearing a "Vegas wedding gown" which cracked me up. :D Kym and Robert got their first eight!! I was very happy. 29/40.

Patti and Artem were next with a cha-cha. She cracks me up every week. Technically, she's not perfect, but I just love to watch her. It's always 100% fun. There wasn't a ton of cha-cha content, but it was super entertaining. 22/40.

Willow and Mark performed a pasodoble next. They did this super cool fire/ice theme that I absolutely loved, the costumes were great. Mark's ice costume was so cool. It wasn't her absolute best dance, but it wasn't bad. I just felt slightly underwhelmed, I'm not sure why. It's not something I could really place why. I just don't think she quite committed enough to the dance. She was really nervous, so I can understand how she would be nervous. She got a 32/40, although I think I might have given her a 7.

Next, we saw Noah and Sharna dance. They tried to introduce a prosthetic arm this week, but it was just a bit too much. I know that had to be super hard for him. They danced an Argentine Tango, which was hard with his prosthetic leg, but it was really good. The lifts were absolutely flawless, he's so strong and Sharna just executed them gorgeously. Len called Noah 'his hero', which must have been so incredible to hear. Len is right though, Noah is just so inspirational. He scored a 30/40; I wish he'd gotten 32 but oh well. Still a decent score.

Going last, we saw Nastia and Derek. They were awesome. My living room was applauding!! XD Considering that they spend hardly any time together, they have great chemistry and work really well together. The technique was great, and Derek did an amazing job choreographing. Nastia's flexibility was very well displayed, she's just so talented. I can't quite express my love for this routine. They scored a 34/40.

Now it's time for the part nobody likes. Elimination.

Chris and Witney, Charlotte and Keo, and Noah and Sharna were all brought down to be in jeopardy.

YES!!! Noah is safe. He should never have been in jeopardy in the first place.

Charlotte and Keo were eliminated, and I can't say that I was too sad. She was never my favorite, and I felt like she was kind of playing the victim last week.

So, what did you think? Who was your favorite couple? What did you think of the elimination? Comment below!

This is my all-time favorite quote, from my favorite movies. I absolutely adore The Princess Diaries, and this quote is so wonderful. :) I really want to paint it on a canvas and hang it on my wall.

Dancing With The Stars- Week 2!!!

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Hi everyone! Monday was Week 2 of Dancing With The Stars, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the night with you all! :)

(Isn't this a cute cast photo??? It's from last week but who cares? I like it.)

The theme of the night was My Jam Monday, where each celebrity picked a favorite song to dance to. It's always a fun theme, although personally I can't wait for Disney week!!!

First up, we had Chris Soules and Witney Carson. It was alright I guess, but it wasn't really anything phenomenal. The judges seemed to agree, with some pretty bad scores- 21/40.

Suzanne Somers and Tony Dovolani were the next to hit the floor. I actually really liked their dance! She reminded me a lot of Betsey Johnson from last season. She may be 60, but she can dance! She was very sassy, and the routine was just really fun. :)

Next up, we had Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson! Oh my goodness, I loved this dance. It was so fun, and absolutely adorable. I love this couple so much. They're so cute, and much to my surprise, Robert is actually really good! He got a 28/40, which I thought was too low, especially considering some of the other scores. I'm definitely rooting for them!!

Charlotte McKinney and Keo Motesepe danced next. Charlotte has apparently been getting a lot of hate over the course of the past week, and while I felt bad for her, she kind of brought that on herself in my opinion by some of the things she did last week. Her dance this week was better though, and I thought her costume was a better choice.

Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd were up next. Michael kind of falls into the same category as Chris, in my opinion. He's alright, but he's just nothing really remarkable. I did NOT think that he should have gotten the same score as Robert though, with a 28/40. '

Going sixth, we had Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy. Wow. W.O.W. Rumer is amazing. I really think that she has a great chance at the win. She has a ton of natural ability, and a fabulous work ethic. Definitely a contender. She got decent scores, 32/40.

RedFoo and Emma Slater performed next. They did a jive, which suited RedFoo pretty well, but dancing isn't exactly his skill. He's has a great personality and stage presence, but technique is not his strongest point. It wasn't bad, though.

Up next with an impressive Argentine tango was Willow Shields and Mark Ballas, otherwise known as Team Markingjay. I love that team name!! XD So perfect. Their dance was actually really good, too. Definitely an improvement over last week. They had these great paint splattered costumes, which was a cool creative touch on Mark's part. And the lifts looked great. They scored 32/40, the same as Rumer and Val.

I still adore Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess. He really is just so phenomenal, and I love to watch him perform. And Sharna is just doing such a fabulous job on the choreography, I'm super impressed. And he dedicated his number to his girlfriend, which was super sweet. The best part was at the end, when his girlfriend showed up after them not seeing each other for six months while she's in basic training. It was so cute! :) <3

Oh. My gosh. Oh. My. Gosh. I am in awe. Nastia and Derek were absolutely INCREDIBLE. We had to rewind and watch it again, it was that amazing. The beauty of this number was just so phenomenal. Derek did such a great job choreographing it, and I really can't even put into words how much I loved it. It was perfection. Go watch it! They got the first 9's of the season, and they definitely deserved it. Nastia could seriously win. Best number of the night.

Riker Lynch and Allison Holker went next, and let me just say, his hair looks soooooo much better slicked back. It's way too shaggy normally. As for the dance, it just didn't feel quite as much like a foxtrot to me, but that's more the choreography, not Riker. He showed a lot more grace this week though, so I think he definitely has a lot of potential. He scored a 32/40.

Finishing out the night was Patti LaBelle and Artem Chigvintsev. Haha, that was such a fun/funny number. To quote, "I want to go to the club with her!"

Once everyone was done dancing, it was time for the part of the night that no one likes- elimination. RedFoo and Emma, Suzanne and Tony, Charlotte and Keo, and Chris and Witney were all in jeopardy. It was then narrowed down to RedFoo and Emma, and Suzanne and Tony. Suzanne ended up being safe, and RedFoo was sent home. I was kind of disappointed to see RedFoo go home, just because I wanted to see how he would do in some different styles of dance. I am glad that it was him, though, instead of someone like Rumer, or Noah, or Willow or Nastia.

So, did you watch the show? Who's your favorite?

It's Finally Spring!

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

It's Finally Spring!!!!

It's here. It's finally here.

Spring.

I'm really not a big winter girl. I don't like being cold, it seems like everyone's always coming down with colds or the flu, you have to wear tons of layers whenever you leave the house, everything outside is dreary and dead. Not exactly my favorite time of year.

But I really love spring. Trees and flowers are budding everywhere. The weather is finally warming up. Everyone is itching for school to end and summer to begin. Everyone in my classes seems to be brimming with spring fever. No one can concentrate, everyone's laughing. It's really fun. And the clothes. The clothes.

I seriously love spring fashion. The florals, the pastels, sandals, white skinny jeans, capris, flowy tops....I adore it. I'm already mentally planning the things that I want to buy this season. I really want to find some skirts, so if anyone knows where to find some cute spring skirts, let me know!! I'm also trying to find some cute sandals, so again, if you know where to find them, COMMENT!!!

And did I mention the nail polish? I love spring nail polish, the pastels are so pretty! I have a ton of pastel polishes, but these are some of my favorites. If you haven't noticed, I'm a big Sally Hansen fan ;) I'm planning to do my nails again in the next few days, so which color do you think I should do? Or should I do a totally different color? Comment below!

I also love fruity flavors in the spring. Really throughout the summer, but I feel like fruity flavors really start to become more popular once spring hits. Eos are some of my favorites, because they're so light.

Oh, look. More pastels. Shocker. These hair ties are so fun, the bright colors are great!! And aren't these earrings the cutest things??? I love them. The only problem is that they're kind of heavy, so I can't wear them very often/for long periods of time. So that's annoying. But I got them for like, two dollars, so that's not too bad.

Are you excited for spring? What's your favorite spring clothing piece/accessory?

Dancing With The Stars- Week 1!!!

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Hey everyone! So, a while back I posted about the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars and the cast list. The first episode aired on Monday night, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you all! :)

I was seriously so excited for Season 20. I've watched this show for as long as I can remember, probably since the first season! I've literally grown up with the show, and it's so crazy to think that it's the twentieth season. This cast looks pretty good!!

First up for the night were Willow Shields and Mark Ballas. Willow is seriously adorable, and she's so lucky getting to do this show when she's only 14! Living my dream, girl, living my dream... Her technique was pretty good, and the dance was cute. I felt like it was kind of slow though, and she was being a bit too careful. Still, that's totally understandable for the first week. I think that she has a TON of potential.

Next up was Robert Herjavec with Kym Johnson. I really wasn't expecting a ton from him to be totally honest. I mean, he's a business guy, not exactly someone you would think would be a fabulous performer. But I was actually REALLY impressed!! Technique-wise, he wasn't fabulous, but he had amazing energy and stage presence. I couldn't stop smiling when I watched him!! It was great. And I was SO excited to see Kym back! She's one of my favorite pro dancers, and I'm so happy that she's back for Season 20.

Riker Lynch and Allison Holker were up next. I'm not quite sure what to think about them. They did a jive that was actually pretty good, but something about it just....bothered me. I can't place my finger on it. It just wasn't my favorite dance of the night. I thought it was quite funny, Julianne Hough made a comment to Allison saying last season was "whatever." I really didn't like her partner last year, so I thought that was absolutely hilarious. XD

Fourth up was Charlotte McKinney with Keo Motesepe. Agh. I'm sorry, but I really want them to go home. ASAP. I thought that their opening package was totally inappropriate. This is a family show, and you really don't need to be going around naked on national television. Just..no. Her dancing really wasn't that great either. The 5's said it all.

Patti LaBelle and Artem Chigvintsev were the fifth couple to perform. I really liked this one!!! Their number was just so classy and full of grace and elegance. Patti is great, and I'm hoping that she sticks around for a while.

Next, we saw Chris Soules and Witney Carson. I was kind of indifferent towards their dance. It wasn't great, it wasn't horrible. Kind of just mediocre. I really love Witney though, so I enjoyed watching her dance.

Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd were the next couple to hit the floor. I'm not a huge fan of this duo either, although I adore Peta. I agreed with the judges on this one, his footwork just wasn't that great, and his smile looked like someone just plastered it on. It was just too fake for my tastes. Not my favorite performance of the night.

Oh my goodness. Oh. My. Goodness. Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough. Like, can we just talk about them for a second? Wow. They. Are. AMAZING!!!!!!! This team could totally win. Their dance was just so amazing, I was in awe. It gave me chills. Nastia is really going to be a great dancer, and the fact that she is a gymnast is going to give her a definite advantage. And I mean, Derek is just Derek. He's such a talented choreographer, I absolutely adore his routines. Agh. Definitely one of my favorite numbers of the night.

After that amazing performance was RedFoo and Emma Slater. Now, I'm going to be totally honest, I wasn't expecting a lot from RedFoo. But I was actually pleasantly surprised. While it wasn't my favorite number of the night, he actually showed a lot of potential in this number. His movements were pretty good, and I was fairly impressed.

Next was Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess. Oh. My.......I honestly don't even know what to say. This man is such a huge inspiration. For those of you who don't watch the show, he was an Iraqi war veteran who lost both an arm and a leg. He's then since been a motivational speaker and personal trainer. When he was dancing, my entire body was covered in chills. It was just so amazing, and beautiful, and inspiring, and....agh. I really don't even know how to describe it. All I can say is, you HAVE to watch it. Also, HUGE props to Sharna for doing such an amazing job choreographing this number. It would be insanely difficult to choreograph, and she did it beautifully. It deserves all tens in my book. :):):):):):):):):):)

After Noah and Sharna, Suzanne Somers and Tony Dovolani performed. Hahaha, this was too funny. They did a tribute to Suzanne's Thighmaster, and they were both wearing horrible athletic-wear. It was absolutely hilarious. Tom referred to Tony as the "Athletic Smurf". ;) Tony's done so much on this show, I think he honestly will do anything at this point. I really love him. He's definitely one of my favorite pros! Suzanne isn't the best dancer, but I'm hoping that she'll improve over the course of the season.

Closing the night was Rumer Willis with Val Chmerkovskiy. Wow. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from her. I hadn't heard of her before I saw the cast list, but I was SO impressed. Her dance with Val was absolutely gorgeous. I was just sitting there in utter awe. Beautiful.

There were really a ton of great dancers! The cast this season is phenomenal. I've got to say, my three favorites would have to be Nastia, Noah, and Rumer. There is so much talent this season though. I'm so excited to see the rest of the season!

Do any of you watch Dancing With The Stars? Who was your favorite pairing? Comment below!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! + Helpppppppp

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

Hi everybody!! Happy St. Patrick's Day! :) How are you all? Did you wear green today? I just spent the day at home, but I'm wearing a green shirt that says "Luck of the Irish" with a few gold shamrocks and yoga pants haha. Can we just agree that yoga pants are basically the best things in the entire world? Okay? Okay.

Wouldn't it be cool to actually be in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day? I bet that it's so much fun there today. I'd love to see all of the Irish dancers! I love Irish dance, although I've never tried it myself. I have a friend who does it, and she's incredible! It looks like it would be a lot of fun though. :)

So, I need your help. Lately I've been super busy and super inspiration-less, and I haven't been posting. I'M SORRYYYYYYYYY! But I want some input from you all. What would you like to see me post on here? I'd love some ideas! PLEASE comment below!

Hope that you all have had a great day! :)

Daylight Savings, I Hate You.

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

I hate you, Daylight Savings.

I love the time change in the fall. I love it. You get to stay up an hour later guilt-free, and you get another glorious hour of sleep. It's wonderful.

But I loathe this time change.

This probably sounds horrible negative, but oh my goodness, ever since we lost an hour, I have been SO TIRED! See, I'm very much a night owl. My favorite time of day is when I'm finally alone in my room, and I can read, or write, or listen to music utterly alone, or to lie in bed late at night, just thinking. Mornings are not my thing, to say the least. I'm one of those people who does terribly when it's time to get up. I swear I'm still half-asleep for two hours after I've gotten up. (And let me just say, first period Chemistry- brutal. )

Anyways, I apologize for my lack of posting lately. *wags finger* Bad, baaaaaad blogger. Between sleep deprivation, school, other people using the computer, rehearsals, fundraisers, and just life in general, I haven't been able to get a full post written out in days. I've got several half-finished posts just sitting in my drafts, waiting for me to finish them. Begging me. Grace Anne, just finish the stupid post! I know, I know. So, I'm sorry. I'm going to be doing my best to get more posts out SOOOOOON!!!

I'll leave you with a few funny things from Pinterest. Because hey, when you're sleep deprived, who couldn't use a laugh?

 This is my life..
 Poor guy..

February Favorites!!

Monday, March 2, 2015

That's right, ladies! My favorites posts are back! I'm really sorry that I didn't post favorites for December or January. January was super busy, so I never had time to put the December post together, and as a result of being so busy, I didn't really try any new products or shop in January, so I didn't HAVE any favorites! BUT, I'm back with these posts now, hopefully for good! :) They're so much fun haha. ;) I've learned that keeping a list of things I love throughout the month on my phone really helps the process, just for all of you other lovely bloggers out there. :)

But without further ado, let's launch into the favorites!

My first favorite for February was..BEANIES!!!! Agh! I really developed an addiction for them throughout the month haha. ;) I actually crocheted two beanies, and they turned out really well. But they're just so fun to add to an outfit. Best of all, it makes it look like you tried when you really didn't they're super cute. I like them with curls, or with two braids. One day when I wore a beanie with two braids, people kept telling me I looked like Anna from Frozen haha. :D

Speaking of headwear, my second favorite for February was headbands!!
I'm not really sure what it was, but over the month I just really loved adding cute things to my hair! It feels kind of springy, which sure is nice when the weather outside is so blah.

My mom got a coupon from Bath and Body Works for a free lotion, and we picked up this one in the fragrance Japanese Cherry Blossom. Now, I've mentioned this before, but I'm really sensitive to scents, and a lot of them give me a headache. So obviously, I was kind of wary getting this lotion, but hey, it was free. Might as well give it a try. Oh my goodness. Ladies, I am in LOVE. This lotion smells AMAZING!! I want to go and get everything they offer in this scent. I love to get a tiny amount and rub it on my hands, it just smells so fantastic. I am totally and completely obsessed with this now.
A very sweet friend of mine gave me this lip product a while back, and I've really been loving it this month. My lips get super dry in the winter, and this keeps them healthy and looking nice. I love it!

I actually bought this product several months ago, but I didn't like it at all at the time. So, away to the bottom of my makeup bag it went. Then, a couple weeks ago, I decided hey, why not give it another try? Now, I don't know what I did wrong the first time around, but this little concealer pen has totally saved my makeup life. I love it! It provides such amazing coverage, I really can't even believe it. It's almost TOO much coverage, and this is coming from a girl who would give her left arm for flawless skin. It's such a great product.

Now, this is kind of a very general favorite, but over the past several months, I've been obsessed with eyeshadow. I know, I know, I'm a makeup freak, why am I just now obsessed with eyeshadow? I really don't know why, but I just never liked it very much. It didn't seem to help my appearance that much, and I kind of just didn't bother. But like I said, over the past few months I've really gotten into it, and now I'm totally in love. These two pallets above were actually just a dollar each from Walgreens, and they're great quality.
Yes, this pallet is from Claire's. Don't judge me. It's actually one of my favorites, the colors are great and they blend really well. Hey, should I do a post on my eyeshadow collection? I have several different pallets, and I could review them all for you. Opinions?

So, that's all for my beauty favorites. Now, on to the non-beauty favorites!

I've done this before, but my obsession for Sour Patch Kids has been refueled over the course of the month. I got a 1 lb bag for Valentine's Day, and I'm seriously obsessed with them. :D

Music-wise, I've been loving a couple different things.
I really love Taylor Swift's song, Style. It's so catchy and fun!!! Love it. :) I also love Ed Sheeran's song, Thinking Out Loud. Those have been two of my favorite songs this month. I'm also in love with the Wicked soundtrack, but that's nothing new. I've been obsessed with that for the last year! :):):)

TV Shows:
I really adore murder mysteries, and two of my favorite shows this month have been Murder She Wrote, which is an older show, and Death In Paradise, which is by BBC. Oh my gosh, Death In Paradise absolutely kills me...I get very emotional watching that one haha. BBC, why must you kill me?? Have any of you watched Death in Paradise? Comment below!!

So, what have your favorite things been this month? :)

Happy March!

Sunday, March 1, 2015

Hello everyone! It's MARCH! That's just so crazy to me. Wasn't it just Christmas?? 2015 seems to be soaring by. I know everyone says that when the month changes, but it's so true.

March. I feel like it's kind of a quiet month before the storm of end-of-school activities- performances, tests, etc. It's also the beginning of spring, which is fun. :) I love spring clothes!! Time to break out those white jeans, sandals, and pastels! The weather will finally warm up as well. We've been experiencing some insanely cold weather lately, so I'm definitely looking forward to some nice 70 degree days!

I'm also looking forward to spring holidays- St. Patrick's Day and Easter! I've been picking out some yummy mint recipes for St. Pat's, and Easter is such a fun holiday as well. It's not until April, but I can totally start getting ready now, right? Right?

I'm working on planning out some March posts, and I'm doing a February Favorites post! :) I didn't do one for December or January, so that was my first priority this month!

I hope you all have a fabulous March!
