Farewell, 2014!!

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

Wow. I just can't believe it.

2014 is over.

It's so crazy to think that in four hours, it will officially be 2015. We'll never write 2014 for the date again. Isn't that so weird? I really feel like this year has flown by, especially these last few months. Wasn't it just yesterday that the semester was starting??

All in all, 2014 was a great year. It was a bit of a different year for me, but it was a good year. I started this blog this year, and that has been so much fun for me. Blogging has been a great experience. It's so fun to take pictures, write reviews, and share all of my baking fails!! ;)

When we wake up tomorrow, we'll be starting our first day of 2015. I just can't get over that. It's kind of strange, to think that we have a whole new year in front of us. I wonder what it will be like? I suppose we'll just have to wait and see!

Well, one thing is for sure- it will be a year full of blogging!!

Happy New Year!!

Christmas!!

Monday, December 29, 2014

Hello, Everyone! How was your Christmas? I haven't posted in over a week, and for that I'm extremely sorry. I just got so busy with the magic of the holiday season that I decided to take a bit of a holiday hiatus. I have to say that it really helped me to get back in the blogging mood, as now I'm brimming over with blog post ideas to share with you all!

I hope that you had as great of a Christmas as I did! It was truly a great day, spent opening presents, stuffing our faces with amazing food, and spending time with family. :) How was your Christmas? Tell me all about it in the comments section!!!

So, I've spent the majority of the afternoon working on taking pictures of some of the gifts that I received for Christmas to show you all! I'm really excited for all of my posts about them, although I have to tell you, they are taking AGES to put together. Well, you can't say that I don't work hard at blogging!!

What was your FAVORITE part of Christmas day? There was so much to enjoy, I honestly don't know what my favorite part was! I of course loved seeing all the presents, and watching my family open the gifts that I gave them. The food was so good, I honestly think that I gained five pounds that day! My sisters and cousins and I had a big Nerf gun fight, and that was so much fun, I nearly died laughing. It was just such a fun day.

Oh! So, I've been working on my New Year's posts, and I wanted to ask all of you lovely readers a question- do you have any ideas for some Blog Resolutions for the new year? I'd like to make some for myself, although knowing me, who knows if I'll actually end up following them? ;)

Well, that's all for tonight! Hopefully those Christmas haul posts will be up soon! :):) <3

Winter Tag!!

Sunday, December 21, 2014

Disclaimer: I did not create this tag! All credit to @macbarbie07 , also known as Bethany Mota! :)

So, I decided to do the #Winterliscious tag! I figured hey, it's winter, I might as well do a Winter tag! So, without further ado, here we go!!

Questions!

1) Favorite Winter Nail Polish?

Hmm. I really don't know. In the winter, I really like pale blues and deep reds. I also really like metallics, like silver and gold.

2) Favorite Winter lip product?

Either EOS or Baby Lips, I can't decide. I'd probably have to go with the Sweet Mint eos.

3) Most worn Winter clothing piece?

Oh goodness...this is pretty boring, but yoga pants. I LIVE in them in the winter. I also really like big comfy sweaters, because they're really cute and warm. :)

4) Most worn Winter accessory?

I really don't know. Probably my scarves. I absolutely LOVE warm infinity scarves!!

5) Favorite winter scent/candle?

I'm not really into candles, but I adore anything that smells like peppermint!

6) Favorite Winter beverage?

This is easy- hot chocolate!! I'm not really into coffee, but I drink hot chocolate basically every day!

7) All time favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?

Oh gosh, I don't know! It would have to be between White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Christmas in The City, or The Christmas Box. I know that's kind of a bunch of options, but I just love all of them!!

8) Favorite Christmas/Holiday song?

Oh no. I don't know!! I LOVE Christmas music, and I really can't decide. Pretty much anything on my Holiday Playlist, which you can see here.

9) Favorite Holiday food/treat?

Cookies!! My family bakes a ton of Christmas cookies, and they're all so delicious!

10) What is your favorite Christmas Decoration this year?

My favorite Christmas decoration..probably my little Christmas tree in my room. It just makes my room feel so much more festive and cozy. :) We've also decorated the whole first floor of our house with fairy lights, and it's so pretty.

11) What's at the top of your Christmas list?

It's really late to be saying this, but I just don't know. Everyone's been asking what I want for Christmas for weeks, and I just can't come up with a good answer. It's a lot more fun to pick out presents for other people!

12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?

Well, every year, we spend Christmas morning at my house, and then we spend the rest of the day at my grandparents with my whole family. It's so much fun!

Well, I hope you've enjoyed this winter tag! If you're reading this, I nominate YOU to complete this tag! If you do, leave a comment with a link below, I'd love to see it! <3

10 DIY Gift Ideas!!!!

Saturday, December 20, 2014

So, I know that during the holiday season, there are a lot of gifts to buy, and money can be tight. That's why sometimes homemade gifts can be the best! They're fun to make, and they mean a lot more to the person who receives them than a store bought gift would. So, here I've compiled a list of all of my favorite DIY gift ideas, to hopefully give you some holiday gift inspiration! :)

1. Jewelry
Homemade jewelry is so much fun to make, and it's actually really simple. You can go to any craft store and find a cute charm for a necklace or earrings. You can also make some really cute bracelets from embroidery thread. There are lots of fun patterns on the internet that aren't very hard to make. You can find some great patterns here :)

2. Knitted or Crocheted Items

If you know how to knit or crochet, you can find great patterns on Pinterest and make some really easy and cute gifts. I personally like arm knitting, and you can make some really great chunky cowls within half an hour. Should I do a tutorial sometime? Comment below if you'd like one! :)

3. Lollipop Bouquet

These are so simple, and so cute. Just take a flowerpot, put a big styrofoam ball inside, and then stick dum dum lollipops in in to make a cute bouquet. Bethany Mota has a great YouTube tutorial for it on her channel. :) Go Motavators!!

4. Picture Frames

I think that it's super cute to get a plain frame from a craft store, and paint it however you like. You can write a cute message to a friend, and then put a picture of the two of you inside. It's a super cute and thoughtful gift.

5. Photo Collage/Photobooth

Speaking of photos, if you go on a website like Snapfish, you can make some really cute collages or photo albums. They're a great gift to give to family and friends that can be enjoyed for years to come!

6. Gag Gifts

Really, who doesn't love a gag gift? You can make some really funny gag gifts from things around the house. Again, if you go on Pinterest, you can find some really great and funny ideas.

7. DIY Mug

If you get a plain white mug from a craft store, you can decorate it with Sharpies or paint pens to make a super cute and simple gift. Include a packet of their favorite tea or hot chocolate, and it's the perfect gift for the warm-drink lover in your life!

8. Mani/Pedi Set

Include some nice nail polishes, an emery board, some nail polish remover, q-tips, and nail decals to make a great Mani/Pedi set for a friend! :)

9. DIY Stenciled Sign

With a canvas, some stencils, and some black paint, you can make personalized signs that anyone would love! Just paint on a favorite saying, a monogram, or some song lyrics. Whoever you give it to is bound to love it! :)

10. Modge Podge Makeup Brushes

I did this to one of my makeup brushes, and it turned out super cute. All you do it coat a makeup brush in some Modge Podge, and add glitter. Let it dry, and repeat this several times. Be sure to add a final coat of Modge Podge to seal it the glitter. You end up with super sparkly, super cute makeup brushes than any girl would love!

Well, hopefully this list has helped you come up with some gift ideas! :) Do you have some awesome DIY gift ideas? Let me know in the comments below!

Christmas Movies!

Thursday, December 18, 2014

Christmas movies are seriously the best. It's so much fun to curl up by the fireplace with a warm cup of hot chocolate and watch a Christmas movie! Counting tonight, there are only seven more nights to watch Christmas movies. Isn't that crazy? With that in mind, I thought I'd compile a list of my seven favorite Christmas movies for you all to enjoy. :)

1. White Christmas
It's just not Christmas if you don't watch White Christmas! It's such a classic, I love it. The dance numbers are AMAZING, and the storyline is just great. It's a must-watch!

2. Miracle on 34th Street
This movie is another of my favorites. It's a classic, and it's so cute! I have to watch it every year. :)

3. Christmas Cartoons
Yes, I'm in high school, but that doesn't mean I don't still watch the classic cartoons! Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Clause is Coming To Town- I admit, I still watch them. Don't judge.

4. A Nanny for Christmas
This is actually a newer find, I only saw it this year, but it was really good. It was super cute, I definitely recommend it!

5. Christmas in the City
I'm actually watching this one tonight! :) It has a really sweet romance, and I absolutely adore the storyline. It's one of my favorites!

6. The Christmas Box
If you're going to watch this one, prepare yourself to get emotional! It's so good, but it's a tear jerker. Oh well- I love it anyways!

7. The 12 Men of Christmas
This is another new discovery, and I really enjoyed it. It's a bit more adult than some, so take my recommendation with a grain of salt, but I still liked it.

So, what are your favorite Christmas movies? Leave a comment below! :) I may add them to my list!

Christmas Gift Ideas!

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

Hi everyone! Now, I don't know about you, I feel like gift buying can be really tough sometimes. I'm still looking for gifts for a few people, so if you have ideas, leave a comment below! Anyways, I thought that I'd post a Holiday Gift Guide of some ideas that I use or think would be a fun idea! :)

Most of these gifts are for girls, and are great for a sister, best friend, cousin, or any other special girl in your life. Most of these are pretty inexpensive, because I know that it can begin to add up when you have to buy a lot of gifts. So hey, you can get more gifts for less cash! Anyways, here's twelve great gift ideas! :)

1. Candy

Candy is a really easy gift that pretty much anyone will love! I personally like getting a few movie-sized boxes and tying them together with some curling ribbon for a cute touch. This is also a gift that you can give to guy friends, brothers, etc. who are impossible to shop for!

2. Jewelry

Now, I'm not talking about Tiffany's (Although if anyone wants to get me something from Tiffany's, I won't complain! ;) ). You can go to shops like Claire's, Icing, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Target, Charming Charlie's, American Eagle, or Aeropostale, and get several cute pieces of jewelry for a really great price. (Watch for 10 for $10 at Claire's- it's the best!) I like to watch for sales, and then get a bunch of stuff and keep it stocked for birthdays or Christmas. Then when the holiday rolls around, I just put it in a little box or bag, and you're ready to go!

3. Shoes

Shoes are a bit harder to give, and they also cost a bit more, but hey- every girl loves shoes! If you know your friend's shoe size, they make a great gift. Sometimes you can get some great shoes for a pretty good price at Target, Forever 21, or Charlotte Russe. Side note, be sure that you don't get shoes that will have to be...punished O.o

4. Lotion/Perfumes

Most teenage girls LOVE different lotions and perfumes. Almost anything scented makes a great gift. Bath and Body Works has some great stuff, and it smells SO good. If you're getting something scented, however, make sure that you know whether or not she's sensitive to scents. For some reason, I can't wear a lot of scented stuff because it gives me headaches. As long as she likes scents, they make a perfect gift!

5. Books

If she likes to read, books are always a great gift! You can get the next book in her favorite series, or pick out one of your favorites and pass it on! Books are another gift that you can give to guys as well as girls, so they're a good option.

6. Makeup

I always get really excited when someone gives me makeup. :) A cute eyeshadow palette always makes a great gift! I actually just recently found a palette that I purchased from Claire's a while back, and was quite impressed with it. I'll have to post a review of it after the holidays. :)  Anyways, you can get some really cool palettes, brush sets, and gift sets around Christmastime almost everywhere. I really love getting the E.L.F. sets; you get a lot of cool stuff for your money. You can also get some really cool makeup bags from places like Forever 21 or Target, and they make perfect gifts. :)

7. Music

iTunes gift cards make great gifts for both guys and girls. You could also get a CD that you know they have been wanting. If they play music, you could also get them a book of sheet music by their favorite artist, or from a favorite show or movie.

8. Accessories

Purses, scarves, and hair accessories are always a good gift. You can go to any of the places that I listed to find jewelry and also find some really cool accessories. Typically they aren't very pricey, so they're a good low budget gift. :)

9. Ornaments

After all, it is Christmas! A cute Christmas ornament makes a cute and personal gift that can be enjoyed for years to come. :)

10. Something Handmade

Can you knit or crochet? Do you make jewelry? Maybe you're an artist. If you have an artistic talent, a homemade gift is always perfect. You can make something really personal and unique, and the person you give it to will love that you spent the time to make them something.

11. Clothes

If you can find a cute t-shirt and know her size, clothes are always a great gift!! :)

12. Gift Cards

When all else fails, get a gift card. If you've been spending days trying to find the perfect gift and you're on the brink of insanity, just get a gift card. You can get one for their favorite restaurant, or for somewhere like Target or their favorite store where they can pick out something that they like.

Hopefully this has helped you come up with some gift ideas! Do you have a good gift idea? What are you getting for people? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!! :):)

Christmas Playlist!

Wednesday, December 10, 2014

So, these are some of my favorite Christmas songs! I hope I haven't left any off! What are your favorite Christmas songs?

Christmas Signs!

Sunday, December 7, 2014

Hello! So, I don't know about you, but I absolutely love signs. They're so much fun to hang around the house, and you can get some really cute Christmas ones this time of year. :) I really love the wooden ones, you can get such funny quotes!!
I love this one, plus, it's glittery! Like, how much more perfect can it get?
This one is so funny, plus it *kind* of defines my life, sooooo...
All of the following signs came from Target in the $1 section. How much better can it get?? This is why I love Target! :)
This one is funny. I don't know if you can see, but in the corner it says in really tiny print, 'No Pouting Either!"
When it comes to Christmas signs, you can't beat a classic Ho Ho Ho ;)
This one is too cute. On the bottom, it says 'Keep Calm and Nog On!'
I want to put this one on my door! On the bottom, it says, "He's Gonna Find Out" .
I think we'll put this by the fireplace :)
Yep, because we have so much mistletoe in our house..

I seriously love all of these! Which is your favorite?

I ♥ Hallmark!!

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Hey everyone! While I was in Charlotte, shopping (which I still will post more on! Agh, so behind!), we stopped at a Hallmark. So... I kind of got obsessed. They had the absolute CUTEST stuff! If you want to get me something for Christmas from Hallmark, I will love you forever.....

Look at Rudolph!! Agh! I cannot handle the cuteness. They have a ton of these, they're all so cute!!! Christmas??? ;)
They have Santa, too. I am in love.
And look!!! It's Winnie the Pooh characters!!! They're so adorable! I need these. Ignore my Keds photobombing...
They even had Dorothy!!! I swear, the second they get an Elphaba in, I'm breaking down and buying one. If you know what I'm talking about, you're probably a fellow theatre geek, and I love you. <3
I think that I'm getting this for Christmas. Guys, I couldn't pass it up. IT'S WICKED!!!!! I have an unhealthy obsession with that show. DEFYIIIIIING GRAVITYYYY!!!
I thought that this mug was really cute. Hot chocolate, anyone?? (I don't drink coffee, okay? I have to say, this looks really cute for tea... I wish I liked tea!)

I loved this mug, too! Julie Andrews is my role model, she's so amazing and classy. I really should get this...
This mug cracked me up... Father's Day, anyone?
Oh goodness, how I love Walt Disney...
Oh. My. Gosh. I love this too much. Tangled is one my favorite movies, and I think that Eugene and Rapunzel are the cutest couple EVER. He's so sweet to her! I want to perform their song someday... Rapunzel is totally my dream role. But really, Rapunzel and Eugene just melt my heart. The amount of times I've watched this song is uncountable.
*sigh* Beauty and the Beast is another of the best romances of all time. It's my mom's favorite Disney movie :)
Can you tell that I'm a bit Disney obsessed? Naaaaaaah. My Keds are making another photobomb appearance in this picture ;) But I really do love this quote. "Live like there's no midnight."

Speaking of that saying, if you wouldn't totally hang this on your wall, I am soooo judging you right now..
Aww, I love it. Disney is just so great.
Hakuna Matata! I really adore The Lion King. It's such a cute movie, and I would absolutely kill to see it on Broadway! A total dream. :)
Well, I hope you've enjoyed all of this awesome stuff I found at Hallmark!! I really need to actually buy some of it haha. Hopefully I haven't scarred any of you with my Disney obsession, and I hope you're having a wonderful day! :)

November Favorites!

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

Wow, I can't believe that I'm already posting my November favorites. This month has honestly just been one big, hectic blur. Nevertheless, I obviously have some favorite products this month, so here we go!
The Rachel Roy limited edition EOS! I really love this thing, as you guys probably know from my previous blog post. (That can be found here) It's so fruity and summery, and feels great on your lips. I guess it's a little weird to be so obsessed with a summer flavor in the fall, but I like it a lot. :)
My next. November favorite are these spin pins, which I also already posted about here. They just did such a great job in my hair, that they HAVE to go on my favorites list!
Next up, we have this Sour Patch Kids gum by Stride. I seriously love this stuff! It tastes EXACTLY like Sour Patch Kids, which are one of my favorite candies. I tried the orange flavor as well, but I didn't really like that one. There's a green flavor too, but I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. Has anyone tried it? Let me know if you have!

And of course, I have to include the actual Sour Patch Kids themself. I really love them, it's kind of an obsession...
Music-wise, let's see...I've really been into Taylor Swift recently. Shake It Off has been a favorite of mine ever since it came out, and I absolutely love Blank Space as well. Haha, at a recent show I was in, my friends and I blasted Blank Space in the dressing room and jammed out to it. So much fun! I've heard Back To December come on a lot lately as well, and even though it's an older song, I've really been loving it. I've also been listening to Lego House by Ed Sheeran a lot, even though it's been out a while as well.
Do any of you watch Dancing With The Stars? That was a huge obsession all month long. I'm so sad that it's over, and I'm so upset that Bethany took fourth!! I was not okay with that. At. All. I wanted Janel to take fourth, I never liked her. I'm happy for Alfonso though, he's wanted it for a while, and he was hurt. I was really proud of Sadie as well, she did a great job throughout the season. Still, I'm always #TeamMotough !!!
Well, that's it for my November favorites! I hope you have a wonderful December, and if you liked this post, leave a comment below!! :)

Happy December! <3

Monday, December 1, 2014

Oh my gosh guys, it's December. Let that sink in. CHRISTMAS is this month. Christmas!! I really can't believe it. November absolutely FLEW by, and now it's December. Am I the only one who feels like November didn't even exist?
I have to say, I love December. Pretty soon, school will be out, and we'll get to have FUN! Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday and I love all of the preparations- the baking, the decorating, the music, the shopping, the gift wrapping...it's so great. I'm really looking forward to spending tons of time wrapping presents and jamming out to my favorite Christmas music. ;)
So, for December, I'm hoping to post lots of fun Christmas posts. I know, I say that every month, but this month I'm full of ideas. After all, for my favorite holiday, I might as well whip out some great posts! Does anyone have any ideas for a Christmas post they'd like to see? Comment!
I'm really hoping for a White Christmas. It almost never happens, but one year we had snow on Christmas, and it was so beautiful. I can't help but hope to get that experience again!
Isn't it weird that this is the last month of 2014? In one month, it will be 2015. I really can't get over it. That's crazy!
Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful December! Comment your favorite thing about Christmas below- it might give me a post idea! :)
Happy December!
