Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Wow, I can't believe that Thanksgiving is already here! It's come so fast. I don't know about you, but I'm super excited for today. Food, the parade, hanging out with family, I love it! We're having a big lunch in a few hours, and I can't wait. :)
The holiday season is really just so much fun. I absolutely adore Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. We actually finished putting up our Christmas decorations last night! I have a little tree in my room this year, and it's so cute. I love sitting in there with the cozy glow of the tree. I'll have to post a picture of it later.
So, when do you consider it appropriate to start with Christmas music and decorations? It seems like it gets earlier and earlier every year. I have to admit, I turn on the Christmas music the day after Halloween... We also usually have our decorations all up before Thanksgiving. What do you do? Let me know in the comments below!!!
Do you go Black Friday shopping? I'm not sure yet if I'm going. I personally find it hilarious that everyone talks about how thankful they are, then go out and kill people over a flat screen TV. I mean really, starting Black Friday at 6:00 on THURSDAY? Really? I think that that is crazy...still, it might be fun to go!
Anyways, to get back on to the Thanksgiving topic, what are you thankful for this year? I have to say, my top 'Thankfuls' are-
1. My awesome family, I love them!
2. My amazing friends, I don't know what I'd do without them!
3. My cat, he's my baby!
4. Homeschooling, it's so great :)
5. Theatre and performing, they've made my life so much better...
6. Having a warm house when so many go homeless
7. Having enough food when so many starve
8. This blog, it's been such a great experience and I've had so much fun!
9. The holiday season, I love that it's here!
10. The fact that this semester is almost over!! ;)

So, for a Thanksgiving challenge, I nominate anyone who is reading this to list YOUR top ten things that you're thankful for in the comments section! I see you there reading-yes, you-comment!!!!
Well, I'm off to get ready for lunch! Remember, comment your Thankfuls below! I hope that all of you have a wonderful, safe, food-filled Thanksgiving!! :):):)

Product Reviews!!

Sunday, November 23, 2014

Hi everyone! Long time no blog, huh? My life has been absolutely crazy lately, and unfortunately, blogging has had to come a bit lower on my priority list. :/ BUT, I'm back now, with two wonderful product reviews for you all!
So, several weeks ago, I went to Charlotte, NC to shop for a few days. I still haven't been able to post that haul, gosh. I need to blog! Hopefully with Thanksgiving almost here, I'll have a bit of a break to blog. :) Anyways, while I was in Charlotte, I picked up this limited edition Rachel Roy eos. I think I got it for around 3-4 dollars, which I thought was pretty good. Anyways, ladies, I am in LOVE. It's called Barbados Heat Wildberry, and the flavor is absolutely AMAZING. It's very summery and fruity, and I've been wearing it pretty much on a daily basis. You can find the link for it online here- http://evolutionofsmooth.com/eos-rachel-roy-limited-edition-lip-balm-collection.html
Anyways, all that to say, I absolutely HAVE to get a few more of these before they disappear. Anyone want to get me a lifetime supply of these for Christmas?? ;)
My second review is for these spin pins. Oh. My. Gosh. These things are AMAZING! A little backstory, I was recently in a holiday show, and my hair had to be in a bun. A friend of mine, The Mad Hatter ;), had a few of these, and loaned them to me to keep my bun in place. Typically I have a bit of difficulty keeping my hair solid, but these held it PERFECTLY. I didn't even really need hairspray, although of course I used it. I'm a theatre girl, I might as well just use the whole bottle. But anyways, these held my bun really well, despite all of the costume changes I went through. They weren't mine, so I don't know how much they cost, but I think my friend got them from a drugstore for just a few dollars. I know what I'll be purchasing next!
So, I'll be trying harder to post more often for you all, and hopefully I can get a few posts out within this week. :) Does anyone have any post requests? Comment below!

Charleston Part One!!

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Hey everyone! So, I'm really sorry I haven't been posting. I've gotten super behind. :P I've been crazy busy lately with school and different activities, and I just haven't had time.
A few weeks ago, I spent a few days in Charleston, South Carolina, and was never able to blog about it because of the Halloween posts that I was busy getting ready for you all. SO, now I'm going to get to show you all everything that I experienced!! :) I was planning to do this as one long post, but I feel like I've gone too long without posting, so here's part one of my Charleston trip!
Let's see. I'm having to think through everything, since it's not quite so fresh in my mind anymore haha. I have to say, the first thing that I got really excited about wasn't a typical Charleston attraction.
It was a Target.
Yep, that was basically the most exciting thing to me the day we arrived. The hotel we stayed at was right next to this little shopping center, and there was a really big Target. :) I wish I'd taken a picture! It wasn't a Super Target, but it was pretty close. We went there at LEAST twice, if not three times. I love Target so much! It's a bit of a problem haha.
So, our first day in Charleston, the first thing that we did was go on a carriage ride. Oh my goodness, that was so much fun! We had a really funny carriage driver, he was a bit eccentric, but that made it even better. The tour was great, it was so cool to see the different parts of Charleston.
I adore this yellow house! It's so cute!
This building is so beautiful!
I think this is just such a pretty picture!! :)
This is a hotel, and our guide on the carriage tour told us that it was haunted!! I'd be fascinated to actually see a ghost there, although I know that it would scare me out of my wits.
I think that this old brick building is just so beautiful! It's such a classic style.
I love this white house.
So, we saw all of these buildings, and more, on the carriage tour. By the time that we were through, it was time for lunch, and we decided to try this pizza place that the guide had recommended for us. Oh my goodness. The pizza there was so good! And the slices were huge. They were the length of my wrist to my elbow. It was absolutely insane.
This pizza was soooo good. Yum!! :)
After we ate, we decided to explore downtown Charleston. There are tons of shops there, and since I adore shopping, it was perfect! They had an H&M, so here's my haul from there.

I love this lip color that I got. I've been looking for something in this color for a while, and when I saw these for five dollars, I absolutely HAD to pick one up. I think that this necklace is super cute, I got it for my mom for like, $1.50. Isn't that crazy?? Love it! Plus I got these earrings for like, .50! Love these prices!!
So, after we went shopping, we went to Battery Park. It was so pretty! You could see the harbor, and there were all of these great low-hanging trees. Well, instead of me babbling on and on, I'll just show you pictures!! I'm actually pretty happy with how these turned out, which is a change for me, since I usually can't take very good pictures. :P These are pretty, though!
I love the waves. I really could live on the ocean for the rest of my life, and be happy.
I thought that this was such a cool shot of the waves crashing against this wall.
My heart is in Charleston..
I just can't get enough of this view.
Wasn't the harbor pretty? I honestly could have just sat there and stared out at the water for hours and hours.
The trees in Battery Park were absolutely beautiful. The limbs all curled around each other, and it was so cool.
I loved pointing my camera to the sky and capturing the trees!
Charleston is just so pretty!!
I loved this gazebo!
All of the walkways were lined with trees :)

There was this huge tree limb, and we just had to take some shots there. I might have to include those later. Anyways, so I tried sitting on it, but I was a bit terrified of breaking some ancient tree. I can just see the headlines now- 'Tourist Girl Breaks Old Tree Limb By Sitting On It.' Yep, that would be me. Staying classy, guys......
We tried going to the beach that night, but there were these BUGS. It was awful. We would walk on to the beach, and these little gnat-like things would literally SWARM around you. We tried to take a few pictures, but we could feel them crawling all over us. It was horrible.
So, yeah. That was basically the first part of our trip! I hope you've enjoyed this, stay tuned for more posts!! :)

My Shopping Haul!

Thursday, November 6, 2014

Hey everyone! So, I went shopping today, and I thought that I'd show you all what I got in a haul post! I was *slightly* hyper today, so I don't know if that will reflect in this, but, oh well! Let me know what you ladies think of this post! :)
So, our first stop was Target, and all of their Halloween was like, 90% off! I got waaaaay too excited guys... and I got a lot of sugar, so don't judge me. :P I regret nothing! Nothing!!

Look at this marshmallow!!!! It's a giant candy corn!!! Agh!!! I loved it. And Guess. What.... It was only thirty cents! :D I love you, Target!
Their Halloween cupcakes were on sale, too!! I love those things so much. We got three packs, although I probably would have bought them all haha. ;) They're so good! I think I kind of have a cupcake problem. I was way too happy after that.
I found this Grumpy Guide to Life at Target as well, although I didn't buy it. It was still kind of expensive, but oh my goodness, that thing was funny! My favorite one was, "When life gives you lemons...throw them at someone." Someone want to get it for me for Christmas??? The book, not lemons...
So, I found this at Toys 'R Us, say what now?? Klondike in candy form?? Oh my goodness! I seriously want to try it. I didn't get it, but I really need to try it sometime. It looks delicious! I seriously had never heard of Klondike in candy form instead of ice cream. My whole life has been a lie.
I got the absolute CUTEST sweaters at JC Penney's today, but I can't include pictures yet because I still have one coming in the mail. :( They're absolutely adorable, though! Once they come, I'll be sure to post pictures. :) And the best part? They were only ten dollars! You can't beat that price!
We also decided to stop by Kohl's, and I'm so glad that we did! There was a bunch of stuff that I photographed for you all.
Okay, so you all need to go to Kohl's to get these adorable stuffed animals ASAP! They have Simba (pictured above), Pluto, Baloo (Is that how you spell that?), Lady, and a dalmatian from 101 Dalmations. I'm a huge fan of The Lion King, and I think that I'm getting Simba for Christmas. :) Love him! And the best part?? They're only FIVE dollars, and all of the money from them goes to children's hospitals and education. So, what are you waiting for? Go to Kohl's!
Oh my gosh, look what else they had at Kohl's- the limited edition Rachel Roy EOS set! Aren't they cute? It's twelve dollars for the three EOS, which is a pretty good price. I'm hoping to get them for Christmas. :)
 <3
Look what else I found- the vanilla mint EOS! I was really happy to find this, and it was only four dollars. It smells really good. :)
Well, I think that that's everything! I hope that you all have enjoyed this post. :) It's my first real haul post, although I have two more currently in the works. Let me know what you all think!

October Favorites!

Sunday, November 2, 2014

So, Monthly Favorites posts have been really popular with Bloggers and Vloggers, so I decided that I'd try doing one! You all will have to let me know what you think. I've never done this before, so I'm hoping that you all like it. Give me your opinions! :)
So, my first favorite this month would have to be the Tone Correcting Powder by E.L.F. that I posted about a week or two ago. You can find that post here. :) But anyways, I love that product!!
My next favorite this month has to be Nestle hot chocolate with Halloween marshmallows. Oh. My. Gosh. Have I told you guys about my love for marshmallows? It's intense. I swear, if it wouldn't make me sick, I'd eat a bag a day. That, and the fact that I'd get insanely fat. You all probably think that I'm horribly unhealthy, what with my obsession for all things sweet. I'm skinny, honestly!!! I don't have a picture for the marshmallows, but they're by Kraft. I love those things so much....
Back to beauty products, I've really been loving my Passion Fruit EOS this month. I'm not sure why; I've had it for a while now, but I've just been really obsessed with it for some reason lately. O.o
I used this picture a while back, but it's so cute that I'll post it again!!! :) I love all things purple. It's a problem, girls...
I suppose that my wedges could count as a favorite...before...the betrayal
Next up, we have Dr. Rescue Baby Lips! When we were in Charleston, for some reason my skin and lips were REALLY dry, so I picked up a Dr. Rescue at a Target. I love that thing SO much! I got it in Pink Me Up, and it's a great color for me. Plus, it's super moisturizing, and makes your lips feel fabulous. When you put it on, it makes your chapped lips feel all tingly, and they stop hurting almost immediately! Ah, I love those things! <3
Last, I've been in love with my NYC liquid eyeliner. I've had it for a while now, but I'm not a huge eyeliner person, so I've never really worn it to any extent. For some reason, eyeliner just doesn't look good on me. Ugh. I don't know if it's just because I'm so fair skinned, or if I just have a really bad technique, or what it is. Anyway, so I've used it a lot over the course of the month for different costumes, and I've really fallen in love. The brush is so *TINY* !!!! It's adorable!!! It also makes it really easy for clean application.
 IT'S SO TINY!!!!!
OH! Music! Let's see, what have I been listening to a lot this month....well, I'm a huge theatre person, and I've been really loving the Broadway Lion King soundtrack. I know, not exactly normal music, but whatever. We've also been playing a ton of classic Halloween music- Thriller, Monster Mash, Addams Family, Ghostbusters, etc. Again, don't judge me. I'm trying to think of some NORMAL music that I can talk about.... Uhm...Oh! I really like the song Black Widow. Do any of you watch Dancing With The Stars?? Oh my gosh! They did a dance to that on there the other day, it was SO cool. You absolutely must watch it. If you don't, I'm judging you. Here's a link-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F24dc0qyang
Again, I'm serious. Watch it!!!!!!!!
Well, I think that's pretty much it. Then again, as soon as I publish this, I just know I'll come up with a million more things that I loved in October. Oh well. I hope that you all enjoyed this post, please let me know in the comments what you honestly though! :) <3

Happy November!!!

Saturday, November 1, 2014

Wow! I can't believe that it's already November! I'm kind of sad to see October go, to be honest. I love all of the Halloween preparations in October, from the costumes to the food to the crafts. It's all just so much fun. My Halloween yesterday was super fun, with dressing up, and waaaay too much sugar! ;) I ended up going as Cruella DeVil.

Do you like it? I changed it a bit from the fifteen minute version that I posted yesterday, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I have to say though, there was one part of yesterday that wasn't quite so fun.
I was betrayed.
Yep, I was completely and utterly betrayed by some of my closest friends yesterday. So that hurt. I'm sure all girls reading this blog know exactly how that felt. I thought that we were friends, guys. We spent so much time together. Did that mean nothing to you? You deserve to be punished.
By this point, reader, you're probably laughing at me. But booties, I am hurt. After wearing you for the last month, you betrayed me. My feet now have SIX painful blisters from you, one of which was to the point of bleeding. So yeah. That was fun.
Anyway, I swear, I AM sane. Somewhat. ;) So, back to November!!!!!!
I've got a bunch of fun posts lined up for November, and I'm really excited about them. I am determined to become a good blogger this month. I'm trying really hard to get my posts lined up IN ADVANCE, so I'm not scrambling around trying to put something together for you lovely ladies. :)
Like I said back in my first October post, this isn't exactly my favorite month. I just can't quite get into fall as much as I can, say, July. BUT, there is one thing that November has in its favor.
HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!
I admit it. I was already singing Christmas carols today. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!" We've had a really cold day where I live today, and I'm in a very Christmas-y mood. The air is brisk, and it just smells like the holiday season outside. I'm starting to work on Christmas presents for my friends and family, and brainstorming Thanksgiving recipes. What can I say? I love the holidays!
Gosh, I'm rambling today. Sorry about that, girls. So anyway, all this to say, Welcome, November!!! Stay tuned for some wonderful November posts!! :)
